I awoke in my bed, groggy and sore. I look down to see that I was now wearing a new kind of white gown, it was short and elegant. I chuckle, It kind of looked like a hospital gown. I found myself to be a little too sore to get out bed quite yet so I just lay there staring at the ceiling. I sigh. what happened last night? Where was Xiomara, where was Leo? I remember that I had fought them and that Leo had torn out my heart. My hand quickly searches for my chest and to my relief my heart is back in place.
"You're awake."
A familiar voice huffs in relief.
I sit up to see Lucius next to me.
"Lucius!"
I haven't seen him in so long I beam in false happiness.
"What are you doing here?"
I ask calmly.
He wears a concerned expression.
"I saw what happened and I thought It'd be appropriate to come."
I look around the room expecting to see Sal, but to my dismay he wasn't here. Lucius places his hand on mine.
"I'm sorry he's being like this, just give him time."
He stares at me sympathetically.
"I don't understand why he hates me so much."
To my surprise I feel tears start to sting from my eyes.
"He doesn't."
Lucius looks around the room awkwardly. He's acting quite jitterish and strange. I wonder what was going on.
"You just don't understand yet."
He begins to pet my head.
"Where's Xiomara? Is she okay?"
He looks down.
"See for yourself."
Lucius vanishes, and the door slowly opens.
I drag myself out of bed and make my way to the mirror. I straighten my posture and see a lovely demon reflecting me. Her long blonde hair messy, yet somehow still looking perfect. Her horns glistening in the sunlight, her white gown showing off elegance. Her red eyes full of thirst and exhaustion. I notice red stitches in my throat and I sigh, how disgusting. This must be one of Leo's dumb jokes. I raise my hands to see that I had stitches all over my body of the same sort. No wonder I felt so sore. I swiftly bite out the stitches and allow the blood to wash over me. Pain became irrelevant in this form. I leave my room and notice a trail of red all over the floors.
"Xiomara?"
My face turns pale.
It couldn't be Leo's blood, we heal too quickly....
"Refi?" Lucifer is behind me.
"You're finally up, are you feeling okay?"
He glances me up and down and sighs.
"The stitches are gone."
He comments cooly.
"Yeah, they were disgusting."
I push him aside and walk towards the end of the hall.
"They were supposed to make you feel more relaxed Refi. I used up a lot of magic to do that for you."
Yeah well, it didn't work. I placed my hand on Xiomara's door and felt my heart race.
"Maybe you shouldn't go in there quite yet..."
