I didn't sleep well that night. I guess the exhaustion finally caught up with me. Do demons even need sleep? I found myself wondering. Probably not, but I wasn't willing to give up such peace. Not in this crazy life that's for sure. I dragged myself out of bed and headed to the kitchen. Leo was sitting at the table staring at me. I ignored him and made myself a quick breakfast. Waffles and whipped cream, what the hell right? Continuing to ignore him I took my seat at the table and began eating.

"Anna... I'm really sorry about last night, I took it too far."

I snorted, that was certainly one way to put it.

"You don't need to call me that anymore, I know who I really am."

He raised his eyebrows "Oh."

"Where's Xio?"

Leo looked down.

"Ah well, she is a bit scared to talk to you at the moment so she's in her room."

"She lives here now?"

I ask casually.

"Now that you're back again, yes."

I go back to eating and huff, where did she live before I went off again? I guess it didn't matter, she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. I notice that Leo is in a normal form again, and all traces of last night are non-existent.

"Let me ask you something,"

I point at him with my fork. Leo tilts his head in curiosity.

"Only if I can ask one next."

I roll my eyes,

"Yeah, whatever asshole."

He laughs to himself, "What a princess."

"I'm still mad at you you know, I absolutely hate you."

I grit through my teeth.

"Is that so?" Lucifer pouts.

I slam my fist on the table and spill my tea all over myself. I stare at him in bewilderment and he bursts into heavy laughter. I bite my lip, holding back a laugh myself. I was actually really embarrassed.

"Alright, Alright can I just ask my question already?" I was getting impatient.

Leo calms down and a big smile is on his face. What a jerk I swear.

"So where do you always go off too?" I wonder, does he go cheat on me again or something?

Not like I care anyway... His eyes are soft and he relaxes into his chair.

"Well you know, can't let any humans wander into this place..." Leo stretches and yawns, his horns peeking out of his head now. He sees me staring at them and rolls his eyes.

"I said it's more comfortable for me. It's not like you're making an effort to hide yours either." He points at my head.

I pat my head and groan, how do I put these things away?!

"Hey! Don't avoid the question, what do you mean by that?" I demand and he rolls his eyes.

"Well, Xiomara and I did set up a barrier that makes our home invisible to humans. We are technically on a whole new plane of existence in this little home of ours. I didn't realize we'd have to make a barrier for spirits as well." Leo trails off, obvious disgust in his voice.

Little did he know his spirit barrier sucked, Lucius and Sal always manage to come around anyway.

"Why?" I ask stupidly.
