𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈, 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 that it was the end of last period on Friday. Lizzie jumped up from her seat in math and gathered her stuff together. She couldn't wait to get home. She'd made it through the first week back at school and she decided she deserved a treat. By treat she meant rot her insides with junk from the nearby grocery store and stare at her laptop until the early hours of the morning.

Once everything was safely packed away in her backpack, the small brunette rushed out the door. She flew down the corridor, earning strange looks from the students that were milling around and chatting to their friends. She skidded to a halt right in front of her locker. As she moved the variety of textbooks from her locker to her bag, she found herself deep in thought over what movie she would be watching tonight. During math she'd narrowed it down to two: The Notebook and Iron Man. Completely different yet both insanely good. On the one hand The Notebook was-

She slammed the brakes on her train of thought and turned to the tall figure that had appeared next to her.

"Hey." She greeted Isaac and packed the rest of her stuff into her bag.

"Hi." Isaac replied. In the short time Lizzie had known Isaac, she'd learnt he was not a talker. Most wouldn't believe Lizzie was either but that was because they didn't know her. Once she was truly comfortable with someone she never shut up. Something about Isaac led her to believe he was the same. There had been a couple times when his eyes had lit up when Lizzie had mentioned something that interested him, but his words didn't follow along with his facial expressions.

"Can I ask you a question?" Lizzie turned to face him as she slung the arm of her bag over her shoulders.

Isaac unlocked his locker and nodded. "Shoot."

"Should I watch The Notebook or Iron Man tonight?"

The boy creased his forehead in confusion. Why was she asking him this? "What do you mean?"

Lizzie grinned. Isaac noticed that when she smiled, she smiled with all her features not just her mouth. He found it endearing almost, like there was something very real and honest about her that he couldn't help but like.

"It's a Friday night. I'm locking myself up in my room and watching a movie with my cat and probably my little brother who will join me in the middle too, but I'm stuck between two. The Notebook or Iron Man."

She looked up expectantly.

"Iron Man is better." He said affirmatively. Lizzie nodded her head at his answer. Iron Man it was going to be then. She was about to bid Isaac goodbye, but he spoke again.
