Chapter Two:

November 6, 2050

I belong to IV-Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Section A, morning shift class. The classroom was busy. Many of my classmates are excited for the release of SAO. I arrived and went to my seat. Many of them have formed a group circle already.

“Aren’t you going to partner with the others?” asked Lyra.

“Nope.” I answered.

“Selfish.” She says.

My only partner is Regie. Knowing him, he may become seriously unpleasant when he hears that I joined other groups.

“Anything good?” I asked.

“Nah. Without you, I can’t play SAO.” He says.

“SHUSH. You’re the strongest player.” I said, smiling and expecting a humble reply.

“Of course. I know that. Better not mess with me.” He says, smirking.

“So full of yourself.” I said.

“Nah.” He replies.

The class started. The bell rang and we immediately to our seats. Hours passed and we all did was chat and listen; the usual things at school. After the class ended, we immediately went to our homes.

“The VRMMORPG SAO is now open for everyone! Almost 10,000 people are in the game and this game is the trend today! Secure the Copy now!” the news of SAO is on the television.

“Hey.” Mum greeted.

“Hey.” I said, hastily putting off by backpack and throwing it on the sofa. “Im going to play SAO till tonight!” I said, running to my room.

I immediately dressed to my casual clothes and picked up the phone.

“Ready?” I asked Regie.

“Of Course! See you at The Starting City. Huh?”

“Sure do!” I replied.

I turned off the phone and put on my amusphere. I laid down on my bed and put the Amusphere on. I relaxed and I breathed a little.

“Link Start!”

The Amusphere checked my stats and the SAO launched. I opened my eyes and found myself in the Starting City. I can see Regie’s Character waving at me.

“Hey!” I shouted.

“Hey!” he shouts back.

He approached me.

“Looking Fit, Today. LITERALLY.” He says, laughing.

“This is why I love this Game.” I said, laughing and hitting him in the head.

“Training to day?” he asked.

“Let’s wait for Ace. He want’s to get started with this.” I replied.

“Eliminate his Character by making him slay a fish.” He says, smiling.

“SHUSH. No bullying.” I said.

“Whatever, dude. I’ll just chill the hell out of here.” He says, waving his hand, going to the merchant’s place.

I noticed Ace waving at me. I came and he was smiling.

“Let’s get started then!” I said.

“Okay!”

I sent him a party request. I messaged Regie that I’ll be meeting him at the Lake near the Starting City. He agreed. I took Ace to the fields where Regie and I trained for leveling up. I thought him the sword skills, how to do the skills, how to level up, how to kill an enemy and the basics of the game. In less than Three Hours, he already went to level 5. He was really into this game.

“That’s enough for now.” He says, sitting at the meadow.

“YEP.” I sat beside him.

“The sunset’s beautiful.” He says.

I looked on where he was looking. “Yep. It is.”

“I wish this is the real life.” He says.

“Just be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.” I said, tapping him on the shoulder.

It was already late afternoon. Ace and I had slept on the grass and turned in for the day. I woke him up and told him to meet Regie. I messaged Regie to meet us.

Then suddenly, A sound emits from all over the Place. Ding Dong, Ding Dong. Everything including Ace vanished from sight, and I panicked.
