“Fall back!” shouted Regie and I.
But it was late. Illfang already seized the moment. Daniel went for a sonic leap, Dancel went for a vertical arc and Daymar went for a vertical. Illfang parried the attacks and three the three upwards. It jumped and slashed Daniel. Daniel was thrown to the ground. Dancel was nearly beheaded but he managed to parry the attack with sword but he too, was stabbed right in the heart. Illfang pulled the sword out and slashed at Daymar’s body. The three fell to the ground. We ran to them.
“Why?” I asked.
“We’re after the Last Attack Bonus Rare Item.” Says Daniel.
“Thanks for saving us.” Says Dancel.
“You’re a Beta tester?” asked Daymar.
“Yes. Both of us.”
“Slay……” says Daniel as he exploded into polygon shards.
“Scavenge….” Says Dancel, following his brother.
“Beat the Boss. SAO…” Says Daymar as he too, exploded to polygon shards.
Regie and I looked at each other. We’ve lost too much. We need to make a plan.
“Quick! We’ll do the usual!” I said.
“Roger!” says Regie and clutched his Sword.
We both ran to Illfang, charging our swords and calculating every move the creature will make. I leaped and gave a sonic leap on the heart.
“Switch!”
Regie ran forward and gave an uppercut at Illfang. The HP depleted. Just a little more.
“Switch!”
I ran forward and delivered a Rage Spike.
“Switch!”
Regie ran forward and delivered a slant.
“That’s pathetic!” I exclaimed.
“Switch!” he shouted.
I ran forward and Delivered a Vertical Arc. I dropped to the ground and Illfang exploded into shards. A big CONGRATULATIONS! is beaming across the room. Do we? Did I?
People around the room are celebrating. Maricris, Celine, Lianne, Lovely and Regie went to tap me on the shoulder. I was crying hard. I embraced each of them. I weep for the casualties today. I weep for my lost classmates. It was late. We are late.

I accepted the drop and Stood up.
“Im so sorry guys.” I said.
“No need.” Says Maricris.
“You led us to floor two.” Says Celine. “I thank you for that. You gave me hope that we can get out of here.”
“Yeah.” Says Regie.
“Let’s get out of here.” I said.
Maricris, Regie, Lovely, Lianne, Celine and I opened the doors and the bright afternoon sun welcomed us into Floor 2 of the game.
