Chapter Thirteen

Celine’s Home- Ralback

February 15, 2050

“Oooh. Look who’s here. The Bitch, The Bastard and the Weak.” Says Maricris.

“Oh Look who’s here too, guys. The Whore and Company.” Says Celine.

“What’s happening here?” I asked.

“You don’t know how the party was Dissolved, Bes.” Says Ace.

“What’s your deal?” says Celine, pushing her way.

Maricris grabbed her collar and threw Celine across the ground. Everybody is now looking at us.

“Hey!” I sprinted forward and grabbed Maricris by the Collar. “YOU DON’T DO THAT TO HER.” I said.

A sword immediately materializes in my Throat.

“You don’t do that to her too.” Says Red, holding a sword to my neck.

“And you Don’t do that to my Best Friend.” Says Ace, holding a sword to Red’s Neck. “One Slash and you’re dead.”

“And you won’t do that to my Best Friend too.” Says Regie, appearing behind Ace, Holding a sword to his Neck.

I can see Celine standing using my peripheral vision. “I can’t believe I’ll do this.”

Celine did a Cartwheel across us and punched Red’s Shoulder, tapped his neck and punched his legs. It happened so fast that Red fell before I even knew it. Getting the signal,  I raised Maricris by the Collar and threw her in the air. Ace jumped, using my shoulder as support and did a Martial Arts skill on Maricris, making her fall to the ground with a thud. Regie went berserk and attacked Celine. She kept dodging. I ran towards Regie and parried his attacks with a sword. His attacks went faster and faster by each parry I make.  He thrusted his sword so fast that my sword slipped out of my hands. It stuck itself to the ground and exploded into shards. Celine managed to disarm Regie and paralyze him with the same thing she used at Red.

“Suits them right.” Says Celine.

“What happened?” I asked.

“I’ll tell you at my House.”

 We walked to Celine’s house. I was really surprised that she had time to customize it. Pink paint, a lot of cats on the wall, paintings, pictures, and things that make her home simple. She opened her inventory and got out some frog meat.

“I’ll do it.” I said.

“No. I’ll do it. I mastered cooking, you know?”

“I mastered it too!” I smiled.

“Uhmmm. I did too.” Says Ace.

“Let me.” Says Celine

“Okay.”

We sat on a table after she cooked food.

“So what happened?” I started to ask.

“It started after we cleared the Dungeon. I got the last Attack bonus item right?” she started.

“Yes.”

“It was a Necklace that raises Attack by 10. It means a lot so I kept it. Then one day, we argued about keeping it in turns.”

“It was very good. It really raised my attack.” Blurted out Ace and went on eating the meat.

“True.” Replied Celine. “It worked out so far until one day, Maricris got recruited to the guild called Red Dagger Hitters.”

“What about this guild?”

“They are Red Players. Red is also a member. They PK players to get to the front lines. It’s effective for them. Maricris used the Necklace to PK someone. Not from the room but a complete stranger. She looted the stranger and got the rare items. She started leveling fast. She used the items. I searched for her and demanded to give the Necklace back. She refused to give the ring so I challenged her to a duel. I won but she won’t give me the Necklace so I was forced to fight her within the Safe Area. I nearly killed her but I left her with the HP of 5. I grabbed the necklace and teleported back to the home base. When I get back, Only Ace was the one remaining in the base. He explained everything. Lianne got recruited by Jhun and Peter’s Party. Lovely wandered off alone.”

“So you mean, Maricris is a Red Player now? So is Red?” I asked.

“Yep. And they’re in the Front Lines.” Says Celine.

“They’ll see.” I said.
