Floor 74 -Kamdet

March 31, 2052

Since Peter passed away and the commander of the Bladefist Guild died by sudden offline, they had a large scale voting session for the players who took part in the dungeon clearing. Regie became the Commander of the guild while Celine became the Vice Commander. Ace is elected as the Major Commander of the guild. A lot of days passed since we’ve cleared the 74th floor. The players at the front lines started to map a route to floor 75 dungeon boss room and to check out what kind of boss we will be facing next. Unfortunately, almost 500 people from the front lines have died during the process since floor 75 dungeon is a labyrinth. Celine took a leave from the front lines to take a vacation with Ace and I.

“I think we shall go buy a house.” I said.

“That’s a good idea, since you two have been sleeping in my house for weeks.” Complained Celine.

“Yep. And we’ve saved enough corr for a house.” Said Ace.

“You’re going to live with me?” I asked.

“Of course! I have no one to lean on to.” He replied.

“Nahhh.”

I prepared to go out until someone knocked at the room in the Inn.

“Regie.” I said.

“Bes.” He replied.

I was actually shocked that he called me ‘bes’ despite the last time that we had partied and argued.

“When will you join the front lines?” asked Regie.

“I have my Month’s leave. Maybe next week.” Replied Celine.

“And you, Ace?” asked Regie.

“Until we had bought our house, I shall go back to the front lines.” He replied.

“Regie, how about considering Gen as one of the members? He’s high-leveled too.” Says Celine.

“I’ll take a look on that suggestion. For the time being, I request the two of you to report to Grandzam as soon as you had already bought your house.” Replied Regie and leaves.

“Too much pressure, you know?” I said.

“Yep.” Replied Ace.

“See ya on your house, Celine.” I said and Left.

Ace and I traveled floor by floor, checking houses and examining furniture. Ace picked the furniture since he’s the economizer of the group. I picked the house since I’m looking for a bigger kitchen space and living room space. After three hours of searching the floors, we managed to buy a house at floor 59.

“Wow.” Says Celine as she looks inside our house.

“Like the furniture, eh?” asked Ace.

“YEP. Very strategic to put a bean bag at the corner.” Says Celine.

“Knock it off, Im bored already.” I said.

“Wanna have something for lunch?” asked Celine as she holds a knife in her hands.

“Sandwich. Go make us a Sandwich.” I said.

“Sandwich it is!” says Celine and started making sandwiches at the kitchen.

A little time passed and we already filled our bellies.

“Time for a nap.” I said and stretched.

“Oh yes.” Says Ace and tapped me on the shoulder. “I’ll take the room that faces the street.”

“Oh sure. I’ll take the ones that face the sea. Okay?” I asked.

“Okay.”

Suddenly, Celine and Ace’s Panel flashed red. Both looked shocked. A message had just appeared as a warning.

“Go Look Outside!” warned the message from Regie.

We went outside and looked at the sky. It was red that flashes a big Message: WARNING.

“Announcement, Players, Announcement.” Boomed the voice from nowhere. “The Server has been hacked! I repeat. The server has been hacked! For security circumstances, we will be closing the game.”

“Closing the game!” shouted a Man across the street. “We can Log Out now?!”

“No.” says the Voice. “Which means you’ll have to clear the game in 3 months.”

“What?!” complained the people.

“That can’t be!” shouted Ace. “We still have 26 floors!”

“That will be your problem. Good Afternoon.” Says the voice.

The sky returned to a normal day. There was a moment of silence until a woman screams. Everybody in the streets screamed, some dropped to the floor and some went running to the mountain cliffs.

“What do we do now?” says Celine as she pulls us inside to avoid the commotion outside.

“We have no choice.” I said.

Regie messaged both Celine and Ace.

“Go back to the HQ. Bring Gen with you. Now.”

“We’ll have to clear floors faster or the remaining 6000 will die.” I said.
