Matilda opened her locker in the morning of a school-day in late January to take out her History book and noticed a piece of paper twisting as it fell from her locker. She squinted, knowing it wasn't hers, her locker was immaculately tidy and no scraps of paper would usually be found in there.

Out of her own curiosity she picked it up, her heart rate quickening when she did. Please don't be a detention slip or something from Billy, she silently
pleaded that it wasn't yet another nickname associated with hitting Billy - she'd had enough, even if it was a more positive reaction than she'd expected... her heart was still hurt, she was avoiding Rebecca and Billy at all costs in school.

It was the last thing Matilda expected to receive, a cute doodle of a Tiger next to a vague note... 'Hi'.

Her head whipped from side to side at students passing by... no one was being obvious about slipping it inside the door of Matilda's locker.

Chrissy was Matilda's first thought, but it wouldn't have made sense because they'd just arrived at school together and parted ways to go to their lockers... if it was her then she'd have to have an impressive set of magic tricks up her sleeve - plus, Matilda figured that if it had been Chrissy she would've drawn a bunny as they are her favorite animal... in her room she has lots of bunny things.

Even though Matilda didn't know who had done it, she thought it was sweet and it brought a smile to her face in the middle of the very loud corridor - she put it in her locker and went about her day...
