Apparently having a peaceful night while being apart of the DPD wasn't a thing you could have, you learnt that the hard way. You rolled over and grabbed your phone sighing as you answered the call.

"Detective we need you to head to a crime scene." You heard the voice say as you sighed "Sorry to interrupt your evening..."

"No it's okay. Wasn't doing much anyway and it's my job. Will Hank be there?" You asked already knowing the answer. Why would Hank be there? He was probably out drinking in his favourite bar.

"I don't know Detective, your guess is as good as mine you know that." You nodded to yourself and said your goodbyes as you hung up to get ready.

Once ready you head out of your house and lock the door. As soon as you sat in your car all you could do is sigh, you didn't have a self driving car you thought they were strange and for some reason didn't trust them. So you drove an older model car it gave you a sense of freedom as strange as it sounded to others.

"To the crime scene I go..." You mumbled as you started driving towards the location given to you by your colleague.

Once you arrived at the crime scene you got out your car not caring about the rain falling down on you. You headed towards the holographic crime scene tape where one of the departments Androids stood.

"Good evening, Detective." The Android spoke as you walked past the tape you glanced back at him and nodded "Can't say it's a good evening but nonetheless, good evening." You yawned as you headed towards the front door.

"Well if it isn't Detective L/N. How are you on this dreadful evening?" Your colleague Ben said as you rolled your eyes. You liked Ben he was always so understanding and nice but you just weren't in the mood this evening.

"Other than a murder it's going wonderful. What do we have?" You asked him as he grimaced which made you realise it wasn't something good.

"Come in and you'll see or should I say smell." He said leading you into the house as the smell instantly hit you choking you. "Would you believe me if I said it was worse before we opened some windows?" He asked as you nodded.

"I'm going to assume they haven't been opened long?" You asked as you pinched your nose trying to keep the smell out. Ben nodded at you with a sympathetic smile.

You glanced towards the body slumped against the wall and shook your head. This guy had been here for awhile now, no one even noticed something had happened to him. It was kind of sad.

"Ben this stench is dreadful I'm going to go take a breather for a few minutes, I'll be back." You said as he nodded in understanding. Once outside you checked your phone wondering if you should attempt to contact Hank even though you knew it would be pointless.

After a few minutes of fresh air you moved back inside the house glancing at the body once more, you moved towards the victim and glanced at his wounds. Brutality. That's the only word you could think of it was the only way to describe what had obviously happened to him.

You shivered slightly not from the cold but from the thought of watching that happen. Just as you were about to take a closer look at the body you heard a familiar voice coming from outside which forced you to stand up straight once again. Ben headed outside knowing who it was too.

The voices got closer as you glanced at the doorway waiting. "Is she already here?" The familiar voice asked.

"Of course she is, you know she'd never miss something like this Hank." Ben said as he entered the house closely followed by Hank. You shook your head knowing that Hank had been drinking just by looking at him.

"Hey there, cup of tea." Hank said nodding towards you as you shook your head at your nickname, no matter how many times you voiced your dislike to it he never stopped.

"Here I was thinking you weren't going to show up and I'd have to do this alone." You said with raised eyebrows which made Hank glare at you.

"Yeah, that was the plan until this asshole found me." Hank said as he pointed behind him to the person. No Android stood behind him, you raised an eyebrow at Hank.

The Android just stared at the exchange between you two as you started looking over him, his jacket read RK800 'he must be a prototype' you thought to yourself. Without the suit and LED you'd think he was human he looked far more human than a lot of Androids you'd seen, his chocolate brown eyes instantly drew you towards his face. CyberLife definitely knew what they were doing when they made him, freckles were dotted around his face which made him look pretty cute.

"Are you going to introduce me to your new friend, Hank?" You called out still staring at the Android his hair was perfectly styled, but with a few strands out of place making it seem almost a bit rebellious.

"It's not my friend introduce yourself, cup of tea." Hank mumbled as he followed Ben trying to get away from the Android in front of you.

You looked up at him as he was quite a bit taller than you, he looked at you as his LED went yellow for a few seconds then back to blue.

"I'm Detectiv-"

"You are Detective Y/N L/N, your Lieutenant Anderson's partner." The Android said interrupting you, but you didn't mind really his voice was very smooth and you assumed that's what CyberLife wanted so he could communicate with people better.

"Yep that's me... and you are?" You said holding your hand out as he tilted his head slightly at your question. He seemed to think for a second.

"I'm Connor, the Android sent by CyberLife." He responded as he shook your hand you noticed how strong his grasp was as you smiled at him. "I look forward to working with you on this case Detective L/N."

"Cup of tea, stop bonding with it would you and get over here." Hank called out as you turned to him with a confused look on your face and headed towards Hank with Connor following closely behind you.
