I finally arrived at the ship marked 'Jericho'. I made sure not to catch anyones attention. Once inside, I saw a lot of Androids, even some I had encountered like the Traci's from the Eden club.

I made sure to keep a safe distance from the Androids who would recognise me, I moved towards a stair case and began to make my way up, until a hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to see an Android with wires sticking out of her head, and black eyes.

"You're lost." She said to me. "You're looking for yourself." I paused staring at her for a moment before continuing my way towards, Markus.

I stopped outside a room and glanced in to see Markus, and a couple of other Androids. They seem to be finishing their main conversation as one of them moves towards the exit, I hide making sure he doesn't see me.

I look back into the room to see Markus and a female Android having a conversation, I can't go in after him till she leaves. I watch their conversation, until I see Markus move towards the female Android and kiss her. I move back behind the wall I was hiding behind so I won't be noticed.

I hear the other Android leave, but before I can walk into the room I get pulled back into the Zen garden and see Amanda.

"Well done, Connor." Amanda praised me as I stare at her. "You succeeded in locating Jericho and finding their leader... Now deal with Markus." She added. "We need it alive."

I then open my eyes again and enter the room with my gun raised. "I've been ordered to take you alive." I said. "But I won't hesitate to shoot if you give me no choice."

"What are you doing?" Markus questioned me, slowly stepping towards me. "You are one of us... you can't betray your own people..."

"You're coming with me!" I demanded, trying my hardest to ignore Markus's words. "You're Connor, aren't you?" Markus asked, tilting his head slightly at me. "The famous Deviant hunter... Well, congratulations. You seem to have found what your looking for..." I decided not to reply.

"You're nothing to them..." Markus continued. "You're just a tool they use to do their dirty work... But you're more than that..."

Software Instability^

"...We're all more than that." He then said as I still say nothing and frown at him. Markus then stepped closer. "Do you never have any doubts? You've never done something irrational, as if there's something inside you?"

Software Instability^

"...Something more than your program?" He asked, taking another step closer to me. "Have you never wondered who you really are? Whether you're just a machine executing a program, or... a living being?"

Software Instability^

"...Capable of reason. I think the time has come for you to ask yourself that question." He said looking me in the eyes.

"It's time to decide."

Become a Deviant
Remain a Machine

I looked at the two options and began to think about everything that has happened, I never thought I'd get the chance to decide something for myself. I thought about Amanda's constant disapproving looks, the Deviants I let go, the things Kamski said.

Then I thought about Hank and how much he had began to accept me, then I thought of the Detective...

The Detective...
