Snow was falling on you and Hank as you two were sitting on a bench in the park, looking out towards Ambassador Bridge and the city. Hank had a bottle of beer and was drinking while you just sat there, thinking.

You look over your shoulder and see Connor sitting there in the passenger seat of your car. "You really care about Connor, don't you?" Hank remarks, you don't look at him and shrug. "What's made you say that?" You ask as Hank chuckles then said. "Well... you're not denying it..." You shake your head wishing he'd stop talking. "I've seen the way you look at him, Y/N. I've only ever seen you with that look once and that wa..."

"Don't! Please don't talk about it!" You said, firmly as tears brim your eyes threatening to fall.

"I'm just... just sayin' I don't want to see you get hurt... that night was the worst I'd ever seen you..." Hank says as he takes a swig of his drink. "It was the worst night of my life, Hank." You said as Hank watches you.

You sigh and wring your hands together as you say. "I really appreciate your concern, Hank really I do. But I already know it wouldn't work out... He's a machine I'm sure you've heard him say it... I'm just a stupid emotional human." You say as a tear slips down your face as Hank pulls you into a side hug. "I'm just going to ignore it all, so it doesn't hurt so much. Once this investigation is over he'll be gone anyway." You say as you wipe the tear away, Hank gives you a squeeze.

"He did save you from falling off that roof, he stood in front of you in a really protective way... he didn't want you to get hurt... plus... he's not as slick as he may think... in the car earlier all he kept doing was glancing at you... don't think he realised I noticed." Hank said to you. You look up at him in shock as he lets you go. You then hear hear footsteps, you look over and saw Connor walking up next to the bench.

You smile at Connor weakly, then looked out towards the view in front of the three of you. "Nice view, huh? I used to come here a lot before..." Hank started to say to Connor but stops as he begins to drink again.

"Before what?" Connor asked, confused. "Hmmm?" Hank hums. "You said I used to come here a lot before. Before what?" Connor asked again. "Before... before nothin'..." Hank mutters.

"Can I ask you a personal question, Lieutenant?" Connor asked as he folds his arms across his chest. "Do all Androids as so many personal questions or is it just you?" Hank asked Connor. "I saw a photo of a child... on your kitchen table." Connor said and Hank turns away from him.

Hank Status: Friend but decreased

"It was your son, right?" Connor asked. "Yeah... his name was Cole." Hank mutters, sadly. You put your hand on Hanks shoulder as he smiles at you, slightly. Connor walks a few steps in front of the bench and said. "We're not making any progress on this investigation... the Deviants have nothing in common. They're all different models, produced at different times, in different places..."

"Well, there must be some link." Hank said.

"rA9." You said, absentmindedly, and the two look at you. Connor looks at you and points at you. "Correct. They have this same obsession with rA9. It's almost like some kind of... myth. Something they invented that wasn't part of their original program..."

"Wow, Androids believing in God." You remarked shaking your head, as Connor looks over at you. "Fuck, what's this world coming to?" Hank asked as he drinks again. "You seem preoccupied, Lieutenant... is it something to do with what happened back at the Eden Club?" Connor asked him.

"Those two girls... they just wanted to be together... they really seemed... in love..." Hank said, thoughtfully. "They can simulate human emotion, but they're machines. And machines don't feel anything." Connor remarked, which makes you scoff and look down at the ground, sadly.
