Markus, North and Josh as you had learned to be their names took you and Connor to an abandoned church, where other residents of Jericho were hiding and recuperating.
You sat in a corner away from everyone else, Markus said he didn't want them to figure out you were human, while he was gone. Connor was stood near you, he hadn't spoken a word to you since you arrived.
Thankfully, you had packed spare clothes so you were dry and slowly feeling better, now all you felt was guilt thinking you'd upset Connor. You began shuffling around which caught his attention as he turned to look at you. You stared at him saying nothing as he sighed and walked over to you, sitting down next to you.
"Are you mad at me?" You ask, not looking at him anymore. You feel him grab your hand and squeeze it. "I was... you said you'd stay home." He replies as you look at him. "I never do as I'm told, Connor. I couldn't let you do this alone." You said as he nods.
"You could have died." He says as he frowns at you. "But, I didn't. You could have too." You say returning the frown at him.
"You're right..." is all he says as he turns away from you, still holding your hand. "Connor...?" You call out as he slowly looks at you, sadness in his eyes. "Did you really go Deviant...? Because of me?" You ask him as he just stares into your eyes. "Yes, without you I would have stayed a machine." He replies, softly.
Y/N Status: Lover
"I'm glad you became a Deviant..." You then say kissing his cheek. Suddenly, he pulls you into a tight embrace. At first you just sit there, then you wrap your arms around him. "Thank you... for helping me realise I'm more." He mumbles into your hair.
"I always thought you were more..." You say as he pulls back his hands resting on your arms. "Detective... there's something I need to tell you." He says as you look at him confused. "What is it?" You ask, but before Connor can say anything you hear footsteps approach you both and look up to see Markus.
Connor's expression changes to one of guilt and sadness as he stands up to face Markus, you stand up with him and grab his hand and he looks at you appreciatively. He slightly looks at Markus before turning his head away. "It's my fault... the humans managed to locate Jericho... I was stupid..." He said, sadly
"Connor, no..." You say, softly.
"I should have guessed they were using me." He said as he looks down. Then he steps up and walks up to Markus. "I'm sorry, Markus... I can understand if you decide not to trust me..." He said.
Markus looks at Connor then at you, then down at yours and Connors hands intertwined. He then looks Connor straight in the eyes and said. "You're one of us, now. Your place is with your people." Connor smirks and Markus turns to you and says. "It's nice to see that some humans care, you're also one of us... even though you bleed different."
"I've cared about this idiot the moment he walked into my life." You say as you smile at Connor, who looks away almost embarrassed. "And thank you... I'll do anything I can to help." You then say as Markus smiles at you.
"Just promise me that you didn't hurt any of my people when you were with those soldiers." Markus said, seriously. "I would never, I shot next to them, turns out you guys are way smarter than us they got the message to play dead." You replied as Markus's smile returned.
Markus starts to walk away when Connor speaks up. "There are thousands of Android at CyberLife assembly plant." Markus stops and turns as he looks at Connor. "If we could wake them up, they might join us and shift the balance of power..." Connor said.
"You wanna infiltrate the CyberLife tower?" Markus asked as you and him stare at Connor in confusion. "Connor, that's suicide..." Markus said, concerned.
