(On the Normandy, Shepard gets a call from asari councilor Tevos)

Tevos: Commander Shepard. I understand you've helped resolve the situation with the geth

Shepard: Yes, councilor. Two, in fact

Tevos: I've read the reports. You ended a war 3 centuries in the making

Shepard: I had a lot of help

Tevos: We have isolated pockets of remaining geth. As best we can tell, they are geth bodies loaded with reaper code. But they are just a tiny fragment of the full geth fleet. You've done the impossible, Commander. And I may be able to provide some help of my own

Shepard: How so?

Tevos: I've received some information from my government. The council has ordered a full  review into Donnel Udina's activities. We're still piecing together his coup attempt. But that isn't why I called. The situation is growing urgent for my people. We are aware that your crucible project is still missing one key component

Shepard: The catalyst. Do you know something about it?

Tevos: Not exactly. But there is a... artifact on the asari homeworld, Thessia. Known only to the highest levels of the asari government

Shepard: What is it?

(Tevos sends Shepard some coordinates)

Tevos: With any luck, it's the means to help you locate the catalyst. The artifact is kept in a temple located at these coordinates. I've already ordered a scientific team to meet you there

Shepard: Thank you, councilor. I appreciate the help

Tevos: Please. It is you who will be helping us. The matriarchs are growing desperate. For the first time in our history, Thessia is vulnerable. For all of our intellect, we are outmatched by reaper firepower

Shepard: I'll do what I can

Tevos: Wether you know it or not, you've become the sole ray of light in a very dark night. Goddess be with you, Commander Shepard

(Tevos cuts off her transmission)

(Soon)

(Joker is piloting the Normandy towards Thessia, the asari homeworld as the squad gears up in the shuttle bay)

Joker: Commander, Thessia is under heavy reaper attack! There's activity across the entire planet!

Shepard: What about the temple? Can you reach the scientists?

Joker: Negative. All channels are scrambled across the spectrum. The mission's looking pretty dicey

Shepard: This is too important. It's now or never

Liara: Shepard... That's my home down there

Shepard: I know. I'd understand if you wanted to stay behind on this one

Liara: No. I want to go. I need to go

Jane: Then take a seat and lets do this

Thorne: Cortez, you are clear for takeoff

Cortez: Everyone, strap yourselves in

(Shepard, Thorne, Jane, Kaidan, James, Liara, Garrus, EDI, Galahad, Jack, Javik, Kirrahe, Grunt, Mordin, Thane, Ashley, Samara, Tali, Legion, and Cortez are all in the shuttle, flying down to Thessia)
