Chapter Forty Two

"Of course Austin, I'd be happy hear your proposition, mm-hmm, I'll see you here in the Philippines, then, okay, bye!"

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag, another investor talk success.

"So? How did it go?" Angela asked.

"He'll be here next week, along with the other investors that I have convinced"

"Galing talaga mag-salestalk" she said.

"Ako pa ba" we both laughed, "Anyway, can you please make me a lemonade and egg sandwich?"

"Sure, I'll be back with it in a sec"

Tumango ako, she went out of my office, I continue to read reports, pinilig ko ang ulo ko.

The confrontation was really a good thing, nang dahil roon I have been able to cut off expenses and I have been able to have more investors, the company is in good shape for now, so I have to keep it that way.

Angela came back with my food, I said my thank to her.

"Lunch na tayo, kaysa mag-sandwich at juice ka lang, anong oras na rin naman"

"I'm not in the mood for anything, ayos na ako sa sandwich at juice"

"You sure? You shouldn't starve yourself"

"Don't worry about me, I'm fine, ayoko talagang kumain ng kahit ano, except for this sandwich"

"Okay, may papabili ka?"

"Wala rin, okay na ako, you can go"

"Okay, babalik na lang ako after"

Tumango ako, she went out and had her lunch.

Madalas ay ganon ang nangyayari, halos araw-araw yata ay sandwich at juice lang ang gusto ko, Marco and angela would often scold me because of my behaviour, but I don't really have an appetite to eat anything else but sandwich.

"Make me some egg sandwich, please Angela"

"Sandwich na naman" she said.

"Please, ayoko talaga ng ibang pagkain as of the moment eh"

"Fine, fine, pero wait, hindi kaya naglilihi ka?" saad niya.

"What kind of a question is that?!" nagulantang kong tanong.

"Well, di ba kasi may nangyayari sa inyo while you wer--" I cut her off.

"Stop! I'm not pregnant, okay? Jesus, bakit mo naman naisip na mabubuntis niya ako? I'm on pills while I was in their game, Angela naman! At saka baka isipin pa niya na pipikutin ko siya kung sakali man, my God, Angela, I'm not reckless"

"I'm just saying puro ka kasi sandwich this past few weeks, anong malay natin di ba?"

"God, stop with your guesses, huwag mo na nga akong igawa ng sandwich, I lost my appetite"

"Beh!"

Marky barged in my office, he looks so shocked of something.

"Oh bakit?"

"Kilala mo ba si Khai Austin Salazar?"

"Uh, yes, he's our new investor, bakit?"

"Oh my God, you're kidding, di ba?"

"Hindi, bakit ba?"

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" he said.

"Bakit ba? Kumalma ka nga" Angela said.

"Siya yung sinasabi kong gwapong half-half na ghinost ko!" he said.

"Oh my God? What the hell, Marky?!" sabay naming sambit ni Angela.
