Chapter 6 - Discredited Evidence

Willow

I was looking at pictures of the crime scene photos when my dad called. "Grady wants to help you with the case," Hank replied. "That would be great. I could use the help!" I replied happily. "Grady is going to England to look for Adam. Grady will call you if he finds out anything," Hank replied. I finished talking with my dad. Grady calls me. "I hope you are looking for other suspects because Adam tried to commit suicide and he has been in a coma for ten years," Grady told me. I could not believe that Adam had tried to commit suicide.

I went to talk to Christopher. "Adam tried to commit suicide ten years ago and he's been in a coma since," I explained. "We can mark Adam off our suspect list then," Christopher replied. "My brother Grady told me that he would investigate Adam's family. Grady thinks that someone in Adam's family might be seeking revenge," I told Christopher.

Christopher and I went to see Dana. "Dana, Adam tried to commit suicide ten years ago and he has been in a coma since," I told Dana. Dana starts to cry. "It is all my fault!" Dana cried. "You cannot blame yourself. Adam was a deranged man. Dana, did anyone threaten you before your husband was killed?" Christopher asks. "No, George was acting weird, like he was afraid of something," Dana replied. "Did he tell you why he was behaving weirdly?" Christopher asks. "No, I was afraid to ask," Dana replied.

"I'll call Grady. Can you try to find Adam's brother Alex?" I asked. "Yes, I can," Grady replied. "Thank you," I replied. Christopher and I left the prison. Later, I called Roland. I told him Adam had tried to kill himself and was in a coma for ten years. "I know about Adam's attempted suicide. Did you know that Adam was having an affair with Heather Davidson when he was in high school? Heather was a teacher in Adam's school," Roland replied. "Heather Davidson was murdered a few weeks ago. My dad has been investigating her murder," I replied.

"I told Christopher what Roland had told me about Adam having an affair with his high school teacher, Heather Davidson. I think the same person that killed George might have killed Heather," I replied. "I agree," Christopher replied. "I called my dad and I told him about Adam having an affair with Heather Davidson. "I knew Heather Davidson was having an affair with another man, but I didn't know who with," Hank replied.

Grady was in England. He was going to talk to Adam's uncle, but his dad advised him not to. Hank told him that Adam's uncle might be involved in the death of Dana's husband. Grady went to the library to look up old newspapers where he read about a woman named Barbara Ross. Barbara was found dead by her sister. The police ruled it a suicide. The newspapers also said that Barbara's sister Pam did not believe Barbara had committed suicide. Rick Storm is a journalist who is helping Pam prove that Barbara was murdered. Barbara and Pam came from New York, but Barbara moved to England with her husband.
