Chapter 10 - Fatal Attraction

Charles

Charles calls Willow. "Willow, Howard told me that Alex was stalking an actress named Molly Greenwood. Howard gave me Molly's address. She lives in New York, so I'm going there to talk to her and see what I can find out about Alex," Charles replied. Charles ends his conversation with Willow. Charles went to New York to talk to Molly. "Miss Greenwood, my name is Charles Evans. I am helping a friend investigate George Rollin's murder. We believe Alex Dashwood or another member of his family had something to do with George's death," Charles replied.

"Yeah, I heard about Dana Rollin. I personally don't think that she killed her husband. Was Dana having an affair with Alex?" Molly asks. "No, she was having an affair with his brother Adam," Charles replied. "Alex told me about his brother Adam, but I never met him." "Howard told me that Alex Dashwood was bothering you," Charles queries. "Yes, he was bothering me, but it was my fault," Molly replied. "What do you mean?" Charles asks.

"I started talking to Alex and we went out to eat a couple of times. I only liked Alex as a friend, I didn't really find him attractive. I'm older than him and I thought he was looking for a woman about his own age. One day Alex told me that he liked me and he wanted to start dating. I told him that I don't date younger men, but he just wouldn't take no for an answer. Alex started stalking me, but he stopped bothering me when Howard spoke to him. A year after the movie was finished, I was attacked in my home, and I think that Alex was the one that attacked me, but the police never believed me.

"There was one cop that believed me. The cop told me he wished he could do something, but they didn't have enough evidence to make an arrest. The cop guarded my house for a few days. My boyfriend was living in New York, so I moved in with him," Molly explained. "What was the cop's name?" Charles asks. "Martin Stewart. Martin's brother Alan Stewart is a famous doctor. Alan has helped the police solve a lot of murders," Molly replied.

"I've heard of Alan Stewart. He helped the police catch the Romeo's killer. Were you attacked in California?" Charles asks. "Yes, I was," Molly replied. Charles went back to his hotel room after he finished talking to Molly. Charles calls Martin Stewart. "Hello, is this Martin Stewart?" Charles asks. "No, this is his brother Alan Stewart. What can I help you with?" Alan asks. "I need to talk to your brother. It is really important," Charles requested. "If you give me your phone number I will have my brother call you," Alan offered. "Thank you," Charles replied.

Martin came home. "Martin, a man named Charles called you and he needs to talk to you," Alan replied. "Did Charles tell you what he wanted to speak to me about?" Martin asks. "No, he just says it is very important that he speaks to you," Alan replied. "I will call him tomorrow. I'm tired and need to get some sleep," Martin replied.
