Chapter 13 - Imposter
Christopher
Christopher went to the insurance company. The prosecutor told the court that Dana put life insurance on her husband. A lady was working on the computer. "Hello, my name is Christopher Singer. I am Dana Rollin's lawyer. The prosecutor claims that Dana put life insurance on her husband, but she claims she didn't. Do you know who was the agent that helped Dana with the paperwork?" Christopher asks.
"My name is Jill Parker. The woman who helped Dana was Cindy Smith, but she stopped working here after Dana's trial," Jill replied. "Do you know where she is working now and where she lives?" Christopher asks. "No, sorry," Jill replied. Christopher calls Grady. Christopher told Grady about Cindy Smith. Grady was going to tell John about Cindy. Christopher was going to talk to the jury next. The first juror's name was Paul Hanks. "Hello, my name is Christopher, I'm here to ask you some questions about Dana Rollin's trial," Christopher requested.
"I never believed she was guilty," Paul replied. "Why did you find her guilty then?" Christopher asks. "I didn't want to, but four jurors were harassing us into doing it," Paul replied. "Would you testify that some of the jurors harassed you into finding Dana guilty?" Christopher asks. "Yes, I will," Paul agreed. "Can you keep this quiet because I think someone might have paid some of the jurors to find Dana guilty?" Christopher asks. "Yes, I will keep quiet," Paul agrees.
Christopher called Grady again and told him about the four jurors who bullied the others to convict Dana. Grady was going to tell John to do a background check on each juror. Christopher left Paul's house.
Willow
I went to the mental hospital and I went to talk to the desk clerk. "Hi, my name is Willow Mills. I'm here to talk to Alex Dashwood," I requested. "Are you family?" The desk clerk asks. "No, but it's important that I speak to him. Can I speak to his doctor?" I ask. "I will call Alex's doctor to see if he can speak to you," the desk clerk replied. "Thank you," I replied. "The doctor can see you. The doctor will be down in a minute," the desk clerk replied.
The doctor came walking out. "Hello there, Miss Mills, I'm Dr. James Kirk. The desk clerk Lucy told me that you wanted to speak to me about Alex Dashwood," Dr. Kirk inquires. "I'm helping Christopher Singer's sister-in-law Dana Rollin. Dana Rollin was falsely accused of murdering her husband. Christopher Singer is Dana's lawyer and he is trying to get an appeal. Dana told us that she was having an affair with Alex Dashwood's brother Adam. Also, another woman named Barbara Ross was having an affair with Alex. Barbara is dead and the police think it was a suicide," I explained.
"Do you think that Alex or Adam might have killed these people?" Dr. Kirk asks. "No, but Alex might know something about George Rollin's murder. I do suspect that Alex might have something to do with Barbara Ross' death. A reporter named Rick Storm was killed while investigating Barbara's death," I explained. "You can see Alex, but he won't be able to tell you anything. Alex has not spoken since his uncle brought him to the hospital," Dr. Kirk explained.
