Halloween was one of Ink's favourite events, a day of tricks and treats.

Sometimes the protector loved to trick others than getting candy from his friends, finding the surprised expressions they had to be amusing. What was he supposed to do when he can invite them to a pocket AU? Just for the sake of a Halloween party and tricks.

He wore messy lipstick over his teeth, a purple suit, and a sage green wig. He was going out as a predictable cartoony Joker, he wouldn't miss an opportunity to dress up as the character this time.

"What are you dressed up as, Dreamboat?" The squid asked, confused with the appearance Dream had. The guardian had a white silky gown, feathered wings and a small light yellow halo above him.

"Can't you tell?" He deadpanned, flicking the artist's forehead and taking a sip from his drink, not really caring if it had alcohol or not. "I heard Nightmare's gang is dressing up as the Addam's family."

"You're joking." Ink chuckled, stopping once he saw the smile on the other's face. "No way.."

"Yep. Can't wait to see that." Another sip, "Error's not a part of it, I've heard. He's being Michael Myers."

"Pfft- that guy? Classic." The protector rolled his eye-lights playfully.

"Anyway, have you seen Swap? He said he was going to be a space commander that honestly looks like from Star Trek." Dream asked, looking around for the royal guard.

"No? And why Star Trek?" Ink snorted, folding his arms across his chest, "If I knew what Swap was going to be, I would've suggested us to be Anakin and Luke."

"I think that would be Swap and I, considering..?" Dream gestured a hand to himself, that seemed to get the protector to realize something and he instantly grinned.

"I still can't believe you and Swap are sorta related."

"You're best friends with my dad."

"That's weird lol." Dream shook his head, although smiling nonetheless. He perked up when he felt a finger poke his shoulder, turning around to see a skeleton in an animal costume.

"Cross?" The guardian blinked before growing concerned over the fact that the guard was dressed up as his own fear. "Why are you a cow?" he worriedly asked.

"I was dragged into a dare." He simply replied, leaning close to whisper, "I need to get out of here."

"Oh! Of course!" The skeleton as an angel glanced back at Ink and gave them his drink. "I'll take Cross to a dressing room, hopefully you have some extra clothes somewhere?"

"Yeah, I have a few turtlenecks and pants upstairs." At the bewildered look by Dream, they added, "Just to make sure, you don't know if someone spills juice onto themselves."

The guardian sighed, pushing Cross away and giving a glare at Ink. "Don't make anyone uncomfortable!" he reminded.

Of course, Ink didn't listen. He glanced everywhere, watching as different versions of himself gathered into groups and corners with a load of interesting costumes. Even if a few weren't dressed up for the event, they were still unique. He hummed to himself, nodding in approval at most of the outfits.

"Definitely going to be hard to choose for the contest." they mumbled. Their eye-lights lit up when a group of skeletons came in, all in dark elements, but that did no bother them. "Welcome, Bad Sanses! Let's see if your costume is worth to be voted!"
