Being in this house for 2 weeks with a newborn was hard.

I was all by myself.

Dylan wasn't here to help me out.

It was only 9 when I had put Ae'liyn to sleep.

While she was napping I was right laying on my bed right next to her crib.

I was always thinking we gotta move and now it's up for discussion.

Ima move back to New Zealand.

I know I know that's gonna be far away from Dylan.

But it's the only my way I can clear my head and not be depressed all the time.

And most of all this is for my daughter.

I don't want her to grow up with a dead beat as a father like I did.

Ima live up to the promise I gave Dylan.

The silence in the room was cut off by my phone ringing.

Before answering I looked over and took a deep breath out after seeing Ae'liyn sleep.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hi is this Avery knight" the person in the other end said.

"Yes who is this"

"I'm doctor James and I'm here to tell you that we have a heart donor for you"

This was all I wanted.

This heart will allow me to see my daughter grow up.

"And I'll like for you to come in for surgery tonight"

"Thank you I'll be there tonight but I have a newborn daughter so it might be some trouble"

"Oh don't worry you'll have time since the surgery is at 10 pm"

"Thank you bye" I hung up.

This was finally happening.

Oh right you don't know what's going on.

So when Dylan was 7 months pregnant I had got a call saying I was move up from number 10 to 2 on the waiting list.

And when we found out Dylan only had five days she told me something.

"Avery" she looked up at my while in my arms with teary eyes.

"Yes love"

"Promise me when you get a heart you'll take it even if it's today or when I'm gone"

"Dylan"

"Promise me that whatever time you get your heart you'll take it and won't let my death stop you"

I looked at her before saying:

"I promise"

Yea so I made a promise to her.

I promise her but I also made a promise to myself.

This heart will be a good thing to me.

I gotta call Eden about this.

"Yes my sister husband" she answered.

"Eden I got it. I got the heart"

The other line went quiet for a moment.

"I my fucking god Av that's so fucking good" she yelled.

She wasn't even on speaker and you still heard her through the phone.
