~Isildur x Reader~

This is a rings of power story so spoilers ahead

You were outside with your friends enjoying a nice meal that took forever to get out from the kitchen. You laughed and giggled happy to be with your friends on such a night. 

While enjoying yourself you heard a loud crash as if something had blown up. Everyone at the outdoor eating establishment went to see where the noise was coming from and you all saw the boats that were supposed to leave with the new Elf that had arrived in flames. 

Remembering what Isildur had told you earlier that night, that he was going to sneak onto the boat to go with everyone although you didnt like the idea you never stopped him.  

Fear rushed through you as you remembered that Isildur was on one of those boats you rushed to the docks. 

Once you got to the docks you saw Isildur's father pull him and one other person out of the water. As they were all consoling him on what had happened you ran faster and faster then finally being arms reach to your boyfriend. Dropping to your knees you immediately took his face in your hands and examined him. 

"Isildur! What happened are you ok are you hurt"

"No no Y/n im fine"

Continuing to examine him to make sure he was really ok you engulfed him into a bear crushing hug and whispered something in his ear 

"You idiot"

His father gave you permission to take him back home while him and the rest of the troops and commanders figure out how this all happened. And when you took him home his sister bombarded him with many questions and reprimanded him for what he had done.

You got him a nice pair of clean clothes and a towel and told him to go shower, as he did you stayed on their couch bundled up by the fire. 

When he came out he sat next to you 

"Oh would ya look at that the idiots back" You teased making sure to keep quiet for his sister was in bed now 

Isildur rolled his eyes. You moved from one side of the couch to move to lay on Isildur. With one hand on the back of his head ruffling his hair, he wrapped one arm around you pulling you closer.

"Dont do that ever again"

"I wont I wont, I love you Y/n"

"I love you too" you softly spoke back

He kissed your forehead and got up

"Well you better go home now its late my father is going to be home any minute"

"Fine your lucky I have things to do tomorrow"

Isildur walked you home making sure to keep apologizing to you for how idiotic he was then gave you a small kiss before having you go inside. 

~Timeskip~

You watched as Isildurs friends laughed at him after being put on stable sweep after being invited onto the boat, but either way he was happy to be on. You decided to surprise him since he didnt know you be going with him. As Isildur turned around he saw you and his eyes immediately widened 
(re reading and fixing mistakes for the stories and stuff I re-read this one and realized i never finished it i couldve sworn i did bc my dumbass published it so um here you go) 

Isildur looked at you standing there in your dress smiling big happy to see him too. His friends behind him smiled and urged him to go hug you and greet you on. Which is exactly what he did he dropped the broom and ran up to you engulfing you in a hug spinning you in a circle. 

"Y-y/n what are you doing here" He asked looking you up and down still convincing himself it was real 

"Well as cartographer in training and the queens niece they decided I needed a little bit of on hands experience" You giggled as he hugged you again 

"You couldnt have told me" 

"Nope I wanted it to be a surprise, I bet your super disappointed you dont get a break your stuck with me" You teased as he kissed you again

"Y/n!" You heard someone call

You looked up and behind Isildur to see the queen calling you, you retract your arms from his grasp and began walking up

"Well ill be back see you later in stable sweep" You laughed teaisng again 

"Haha very funny" He said un amused and clearly sarcastic 

"Also forgot to tell you the helmet looks silly on you" You teased one last time before running off to the front of the boat 

He sighed and smiled watching you not taking his gaze off you. Watching as your hair danced in the wind and your eyes practically shine in the sunlight. What would he do without you
