LOTR/TH Oneshots and Preferences

Merry x FemReader

Im putting this one specifically as a FemReader I know I tend to forget to use they/them pronouns in my stories which I am really sorry for im working on it so ill put Fem or Masc when I will specify and just x Reader when GN I hope you understand if you noticed this and I am sorry enjoy reading I hope you like it

"Eowyn you know a bit about girls right" Merry asks, but after it left his mouth he realized it was a stupid question to ask her since she was a girl 

"Well of course I do why?" She asks slipping the protective gear on Merry 

Eowyn thought it was a good idea for Merry to join the rest of the boys for the battle so here they were in the tent trying everything on and getting ready. Merry hesitated to speak again but sat down taking off the helmet that protected his little hobbit head. 

"Well its about Y/n"

"Well what about her" She says sitting down across from him 

"Shes just," He spoke softly staring at the fire intently "amazing and beautiful I dont know how to describe it"

Eowyn smiled and watched as everything in him became more relaxed and more calm. 

"Awww sounds like your in love" She says standing up and pouring them glasses of water"

Merry chuckled and played with his fingers a little bit

"Yeah maybe I am"

Eowyn watched Merry closely as he lightly massages the skin on his face out of frustration still staring closely at the fire. The fire reminded him of many memories, most of them regarding you. 

"Its like when she entered my life she just lit everything up and made everything more exciting, whenever im around her I just get so happy "

"Well it sounds you have everything all figured out" Eowyn says setting down the water for him to take, Merry finally made eye contact with her 

"Not quite..." He starts

~Flashback~
You and Merry chased each other around the grassy fields dodging children and animals around until you get far enough into the woods you both tumble down and lay flat on your backs side by side together. Laughing you both quieted down and looked up at the sky, well at least you did Merry not so much. 

He stared at you lovingly as he looked at your hair tangled in the grass your smile lighting up the slightly dim forest from he coming sunset, your eyes holding the reflections of the tall trees and pinkish orange filled array of colors above you. 

He just recently realized he was in love with you but there was one little problem. 

You turned on your side facing Merry having your arm support your head "You think Bilbo will know it was us"

"Oh no way plus what we did to his garden was a complete accident"

"True not only that if he does find out hell probably let us off the hook knowing it was us" You say sitting up and stretching your arms 

Before he could respond you both heard a voice behind you

"Or hed kill you two even more knowing it was you two" It was Pippin 

"Pip!" You yell in excitement quickly getting up to your feet and pulling him into a tight hug

Well there it was the problem that stood in between you and Merry. Pippin pulled you in for a kiss which you gladly return with a smile, Merry gets up and goes to the both of you forcing a smile. 

"Sorry I had to leave so early I was planning Y/n's birthday present with Frodo"

"Cmon Pip dont tease me like that, thats just mean"
