Previously,

Aryan takes Manjeera and Sheel with him to Ambegadh where he meets her grandmother and discovers more about Imlie's previous life. For the first time, Aryan admits clearly to himself, that the woman living with him in Madhu's body is undeniably, Imlie. Standing at the shore of the ocean Imlie once played in, he commits to Imlie for life and realizes he has an uphill task ahead of him. To get past her external appearance to see the woman she was.

Ab aage....

The song choice today is a lesser known Marathi song performed by one of my favorite singers. Do take a listen to this soft, lilting number with pretty poetry that Manjeera translates for Aryan.

Chapter 36

"Aryan?" A soft voice spoke near his ear.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and glanced up at Manjeera.

"Let's go. Or we won't make it home on time."

He nodded slowly.

"Are you alright?"

"No....no, I'm not, Manjeera."

Manjeera gazed at her childhood friend's distraught face.

"Let's go. We'll talk in the car?"

He nodded. "I'm tired, Manjeera."

"It's okay. Sheel and I can take turns driving."

Manjeera glanced up at the strong, well built man next to her, who had schooled his features to a stony expression.

As they passed the verandah, she noticed the furious glare he directed at Vishwanath Godbole's back.

What had happened between this morning and now?

Both Sheel and Manjeera had noticed the strange dysfunctional dynamic between the Godboles and the old woman this morning. Aryan had been determined to quiz the elderly lady this afternoon. She had seen the two of them disappear into a room at the back of the house.

The next thing, Aryan had made a beeline for the ocean. She was sure he had discovered something about the girl Imlie who now claimed to be Madhu....or was it the other way round?

Whatever he had discovered, she was sure was the cause of the hate filled looks he was now directing at Vishwanath Godbole.

Aryan looked around the room and then walked out to the balcony. Somehow he had to find a way to make it right.
