Previously,
Aneesh seeks help from his mother on Imlie's behalf to help out with the wedding. His mother, Manjiri speaks to Veer Singhania and is curious about the father-daughter duo. In the meanwhile, Veer sought help from a relative about the status of Malhaar's case. He finds out Malhaar is alive and tells Aryan who wants Imlie and Malhaar to meet and decides to go fetch his brother-in-law who reportedly has secluded himself.

Day 6, Pune......
Aryan parked his car outside the nondescript chawl like housing. The engine idled.
How was he going to convince Malhaar to meet Imlie? First, how was he convince Malhaar to meet him?
No other way around it than simply giving it a go.
Aryan turned off the engine, opened the driver's side and unfolded his frame from the car, straightening up to his full height, his eyes scanning the area.
Young boys playing cricket in the courtyard. Women wearing anything from a cotton nightgown to simple sarees sitting on the steps, chatting, picking and cleaning vegetables as they gossiped.

Aryan strode over to a group of men and pulled up an official stock photo of Malhaar on his phone. One of them pointed in the direction of the stairs.
"First floor, 4th door on the right." He guided Aryan without looking up, watching the match intently.
Aryan nodded politely as the women on the stairs looked at him skeptically, some flashing him a bright smile. He edged past them and took the steps two at a time.
4th door on the right.
His stride slowed as he approached the door.
Godbole, the name plate proclaimed the family name.
He lifted his knuckles and rapped on the door, waiting.
A minute later, the door cracked open. Aryan heard a loud booming woof as a closely shaved head tilted and a partial face came into view.
Aryan swallowed.
Grey eyes. Just like his sister. A family with grey eyes, lord! What were the chances of that?
"Yes?"
"Malhaar Godbole?"
