Previously,

Imlie wakes up in the hospital, groggy and unaware that she looked any different from what she identified herself as. When Aryan comes to meet her, he proves to her that she was his wife, Madhulika. A cold and disdainful Aryan informs a baffled Imlie that he is going to divorce her, unable and unwilling to consider her protest that she is no longer Madhulika but Imlie. He returns her phone to her, asks her to contact her father or friends to come get her and leaves.

Chapter 3

Her head started throbbing anew from all the weeping. She straightened her legs and swung them off the side of the bed in a fit of agitation. The sudden movement caused her vision to swim and she waited at the edge of the bed for the feeling to go away.

Once the dizziness seemed to fade, she opened her eyes and put her feet on the floor. Slowly she stood up and held on to the bed rail for support. Dizzy again, she waited for it to pass.

"Why are you up by yourself??" Nurse Shinde scolded her.

"I'm sorry...I needed to use the bathroom..." She lied.

No, in reality, she wanted to look at herself in the mirror. Still holding on to a sliver of hope that Dev, no Aryan, was wrong.
