The next two days of my stay at the hospital consisted of me sleeping and occasionally waking up for some water or to pee.
Thank the gods out there that I didn't have any more nightmares.
It was the third day after my sudden awakening. I didn't feel anywhere near as weak as I did when I first woke up. Apparently when I was sleeping though, my heart beat got very slow and almost stopped completely.
There wasn't much they could do about that. They were going to prescribe me some medicine to help my heart once I left the hospital. The doctor said I could probably go home in two days, which was Monday.
I had a few more visitors early this morning. My aunt Becky, who was my dad's sister, flew down to see me. She was worried sick about me. We talked about everything during the visit, and she said that she was always here to support me.
A few girls that were in my art class stopped by. I didn't know any of their names, so it was pretty damn awkward. Mr. Tom came for a bit, too.
After all my visits, I ate lunch. It was just a plain bowl of chicken noodle soup, again. Nothing sounded appetizing, really.
The nurses tried to get me to eat something more filling, but it just made me nauseous.
There wasn't much to do in this boring, agonizing place. I could go pace the hallways, or go to the entertainment room, but neither of those seemed better than staying in my room. I'd rather be alone than with people that were strangers to me.
Zack was working with his dad today. I convinced him to go this morning. It took a pretty big argument though, with him being the stubborn person he is.
I did get Zack to bring me some Disney movies, though. I spent my afternoon binge watching those. The Little Mermaid has always been my favorite. Call me a kid for loving Disney, I don't care!
I was in the middle of Under the Sea when my main nurse, Darlene, came in.
She was an old black lady that wore the most unique scrubs. I had to admit she was pretty nice, but she was annoying with the amount of times she checked on me.
"You have another visitor. Is now an okay time?" she asked in her quiet voice, realizing that I was focusing on the movie.
Who could that be? My family and Zack, who was basically family now, were allowed in the room twenty-four seven. I couldn't think of any other friends or family that would be willing to come down to Georgia just for me.
I decided I wouldn't ask questions, considering I didn't really care.
"Yeah, I guess it is fine. Send them in."
"Okay. He's downstairs, so I'll be back in about five minutes, sweetie."
I hate the nicknames she has for me. Sweetie, darling, love, sugar pie, blah blah blah. They were not for me.
I sat there just focusing on Ariel and Eric. They were true goals, man.
It took much longer than five minutes for Darlene to arrive back at my room. I was beginning to think she had disappeared.
She peaked her head in the door. "He's here," she said. "Are you ready?"
"Yes, Darlene," I said, the annoyance pretty clear in my voice. I was annoyed because I wanted to get this visit over with.
I stared at the door, waiting for a guy to walk in.
When he walked in, I couldn't believe it at first.
"Get out," I said. "Get out."
Brad continued to walk in, shutting the door behind him. He was shushing me.
