Chapter 10

Noah looked at his dad and uncle "what did you assholes do to me" noah asked.

Jowl just slapped noah "d it again; I dare you," noah said.

Jack then slapped him "you guys are assholes; now let me go back to my peaceful life without you and your stupid gang shit I'm not a gang kid; I'm a normal boy that you took away from a good life" noah said.

Jack then brought out a gun and put it against Noah's forehead "do you wish to die, noah knight" jack asked, "no but it wouldn't be worse than being here with you two" noah said, "I will kill you, if I have to noah I already tried when you were a baby now your all grown up well a little and were at this same point so will you shut up or will you keep yapping your trap off" jack asked.

Noah then shut up as jack moved the gun away "ha, that's what I thought; now listen up and listen good, you are a runner, yes, but that doesn't mean you run from us; we are your family jowl your father and lucy is your mother get it through yoru stupid head, boy you are apart of our family, and we love you so stop fighting us" jack said.

Noah looked at jack still but then looked at jowl "I will never love him, but I can tolerate him I will call you or him, sir; you are not my dad or uncle, never have, and never will, but I will always love mom as a mom she's the only one who loves me no matter what," noah said.

Jowl sat down next to his son "look, noah, just please be good; please call me dad, just please" jowl asked.

Noah looked at jowl with his sad puppy dog eyes, but noah didn't care; he was too far in the dark, too far down the road of not loving anyone but a few people and none of those was his father or uncle "nope" noah said.

Jowl stood up and walked away with jack "wait, where are you going? Come back" noah demanded, "you will stay in this cell until you know who your family is and who to love and respect, noah" jowl said.

Jowl and jack left as noah slipped out of the chains; they were big and not that tight on him so that he could escape easily. I'm sorry, dad, but I will always hate you for leaving mom and me for five years, and now the only thing I can do is run from you and your silly group with uncle.

Noah walked to the front of the cage and saw the light of his cell; it was somewhere in the gang base, but he couldn't get out of the cell door.

Noah looked over and saw a prisoner next to him; he didn't look nice, so noah ignored him as he walked to the back of the cell and saw a bit of moonlight coming in through the cell window.

Noah then tried to punch a hole through the wall, but he couldn't; it was made of rock and steel, so his only option was to wait for the men to return and let him out of this stupid cage.

A few days after
Noah lay down against the wall as he heard the door open, but he didn't care; there was nothing left for him in this world.

Jowl walked in to see his son in the corner and a pile of food next to him "noah, you need to eat" jowl said, "I don't need to do anything but get away from you I don't want your stupid food I'll starve I'll die here as long as I don't have to see your stupid face" noah said.

Jowl came over and sat next to noah. "I never want you to die, noah; you're only twelve years old; you still have a long life to live with your mother and me with our family; noah, please," jowl said, "no," noah said, "fine" jowl said.

Jowl got up and walked out as another person walked in and walked over and sat next to noah. "Hi, noah," she said.

Noah looked down ad saw a hi friend "Emma? What are you doing here? Get out of here before jack gets mad at you" noah said, "hey calm down; its okay jowl wanted me to talk to you" she said,, "oh okay well then leave please I don't want to hurt you" noah said. "It's okay; you could never hurt me physically or emotionally; we are friends, remember? Noah, I want you to be happy like you were when we talked last," she said. "I was happy cause you didn't push me; you let me be me and hate my dad," he said, "I know, and I still respect your decision; you can do whatever you want, noah, but I want you to be able to be free like me," she said, "I'll only be free if my dad can leave me alone," he said.

She then got up and walked out of the cell as the cell was left open, so noah went to it and went through; as he looked around the room, there were a lot of cells like his, some empty most full when he saw his father and uncle with Emma and his mom "noah" the said.

Noah then looked at them, but then at the stairs that went up to the upper floor probably "don't do it" someone said.

Noah looked at a boy near the entrance; he had scars all over his body; he was very pale with dark blue eyes with his long red hair in a bon as noah went towards the cell 'who are you" noah asked, "josh and you" he asked, "noah" he said.

Noah opened the cell as an alarm went off "come on" noah said.

Noah and the new boy ran up the stairs as the alarm went off "quick, lock down the building; find those boys, find them now!" Jack yelled.

The alarm kept going off as noah ran for his life with the boy; maybe he was older than him, but for some reason, he felt safe, like a booking light of hope.

Noah kept running, making sure the other boy was behind him until he saw the light outside; before the door could close, they slid out and ran to nearby woods.

Noah slowed down as he caught his breath "are you okay? Josh? Was your name right" noah asked, "yeah and your, noah, right?" Josh asked, "yep, that's my name; now we better start running do you have a home, a place before that awful place," noah asked, "yeah I do, but first we need to do something," Josh said, "what," noah asked.

Josh then fought out a knife and cut off a part of his ear, then came over and did the same to noah "what was that for" noah asked, "it's where they put tracing devices" josh said, "oh wait, I had one in me that asshole of a father" noah said. "haha don't worry come on let's hitch a ride to my home it's on the south side of town" josh said, "you remember where your family lived" noah asked. "haha, of course, I do a stone never forgets their home" josh said.

Josh and noah then started to walk side by side "how old are you josh? If I can ask noah asked, "of course, you can I'm only fourteen; they took me from my parents when I was little" josh said, "that's terrible I'm only twelve they did the same thing to me" noah said

Josh and noah both smiled as they started their journey back to josh's old home.

Meanwhile
Everyone was surrounded by jowl "did anyone find them," Jack asked, "no sir" everyone said, "shit" jack said, "don't worry, jack will find him" jowl said, "your fucking kid is on my hit list now; he escaped with a stone a FUCKING STONE!" Jack said, "I know I'm sorry," jowl said.

Jowl didn't want to give up on his son, but it was hard; he was siding with the wrong group of people, and he still hated him. I hope you are happy now, noah I wish I could still protect you, but jack has made you an enemy I want to I could still protect you.

Meanwhile
Noah and josh kept walking till they came to a road "okay, let's try to get a ride" josh said, "okay" noah said.

Noah and josh then walked in front of the road waiting for someone to stop for them; no one would till a car stopped; josh and noah walked up to the window as it rolled down. "Are you two lost?" she asked, "yes, ma'am, we're trying to get back home; could you please give us a lift to the south side," josh asked, "of course, hop in," she said.

Josh and noah got in as the car started and waited for the ride to be over "don't worry, noah will be there soon," Josh said, "Okay," noah said.

A few hours later
It was now dark out as josh and noah exited the car "thanks for the lift, ma'am" josh said, "of course, stay safe out there; it's dangerous in these parts" she said, "we will thank you again" noah said.

The woman then drove away "okay, so where is this family of yours" noah asked, "I'll take you there" josh said, "okay" noah said.

Noah followed; josh closely "what's wrong," josh asked, "it's just scary in the dark" noah said, "hey, it's okay; I'm here to help," Josh said.

Josh then took noah by the hand and led the way to the new place for them to stay.
