"He did all that, and didn't say anything about it?" Robin squealed

"He did all that, and didn't say anything about it?" Robin squealed.

"And you didn't go in for the kiss after that? You've gotta be kidding me," Steve said.

The dynamic duo flanked you on either side as you began a lap around Starcourt Mall's upper level. Hoping to find some new top or accessory to make an impression at Tuesday's gig, you invited them along. Mostly because you had to spill about what went on between you and Eddie in your bedroom the other night.

While you hadn't wanted to tell Steve and let him in on all your relationship details, Robin convinced you he would be better at advice and support than her. Thus, you caught him up to speed before telling them both the newest story.

"Nothing!" you groaned to Robin. "He acted totally normal and we got in bed like normal. And in the morning, the same thing."

"Wait, wait, wait. You two sleep together? In each other's beds?" Steve waved his hands around.

"Yeah." You looked at him funny, not getting the point.

He used two fingers to pinch the bridge of his nose. "And you think you're just normal friends who don't have romantic feelings?"

"Well I know I have feelings for him. But he doesn't reciprocate. Plus sharing beds is not that weird for friends to do."

"Do you cuddle each other? Spoon and all that shit?"

You hesitated, looking between the strawberry blonde and brunette. "Yeah...so what?"

"God, I might have to meet this guy so I can smack some sense into him." Steve puffed his chest as you entered a store. You dispersed in one corner, meandering as a three through the racks.

"That's not a bad idea," Robin pitched in. Her finger tapped her thin in thought. "Steve, are you gonna throw another sweater party this year?"

"Probably. My parents will be gone for their ski trip again so what else would I do."

"Pieces of shit," Robin hissed under her breath.

The Harringtons were not good parents by any means. On the surface, Steve was rich and had a lot of material things; one would think his home life was perfect. But the complete and utter neglect he received from his mother and father was awful. He spent half his life being ignored by them and the other half being told he was a disappointment. You and him bonded over that shared trauma.

"Sweater party?" you questioned.

"Yeah, it's a Christmas party I throw at my house. Everyone comes in sweaters, ugly or not, and we get plastered," the built male explained.

"Okay, here's the plan." Robin ushered you two closer with flapping hands. "There's a few weeks until then, right?"

Steve nodded. Robin grinned a conniving smile.
