Thomas Shelby never saw her coming.
With her quick wit and scary silences, Leilani Solomons was a vision to the eyes of any man. He wanted her. But she didn't want anyone. Betrayed by most men in her life Leilani wasn't ready to trust anyone. Not...

THE SHOUTING STARTED AT 7AM THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY. Ada had found out that her brothers were coming into town. This prompted a lengthy conversation with Lani about her brothers. In which Ada told the (before) clueless woman about her previous life in Small Heath.
The fact that Ada did keep to herself was that the shelby brothers weren't coming to see Ada. They were coming to see Alfie Solomon. A business deal that Ada was more than nervous about.
Ada explained that she had seen Thomas a couple of weeks ago, walking down the street. He handed her keys to a house. A big, grand house. Reluctantly, she accepted. That's why they were both, unpacking their last belongings into the new house. With Karl running through the halls happily.
"I'm sorry, but it's early and my kids need a peaceful breakfast before school. As I'm sure you know Miss Solomons" Mrs Wallace states kindly, the two girls new next door neighbour. Asking for Ada to (politely) shut up.
"Of course Mrs Wallace. I'm so sorry. If you would like I can walk Joseph and Sophie to school, so you can rest" Lani states calmly. Mrs Wallace agrees and leaves. She was going there anyway.
As soon as Lani shuts the door she huffs. Although Ada speaks spitefully of her brothers she sure does have the temper that Ada frequently says they possess.
"Ada, if you don't shut the fuck up you'll shout the fucking street down" Lani tries not to shout, but she does state angrily, almost spitting at her friends incompetence.
"Sorry. I'll see you after work" she says, more calmly now. Lani walks around the corner to see her friend. She stands with her hands on her hips and a cigarette in her mouth, looking out the window. She seemed to be taking a moment to wave sarcastically at their now leaving neighbour.
"I'm going to see Alfie after work. Family business" Lani says casually. Knowing that it will irritate Ada. She sees her jaw clench slightly, but she seemed to let it go as she blows out the smoke collecting in her mouth and flashes Lani a restrained smile.
Rolling her eyes and laughing slightly she bids goodbye and leaves the house. Fortunately for Ani, Joseph and Sophie Wallace are waiting at the bottom of their front garden, waiting for their neighbour to walk them to school. "Good morning children, sorry about the shouting this morning" she says happily, laughing at the last bit.
-----------------------------
The day had been tiring and draining for Lani. Somehow word had gotten out that her eldest brothers had taken her youngest brother out to fight. And they beat up Ani's boss's son. Apparently he had been giving Alex grief in school. So obviously, instead of going to his sister, who works with his dad, to handle it...he went to his older brothers who practically kill for a living.
All she heard all day was "Miss Lani are you getting fired because of Alexander?" And "Miss Lani, do you fight people aswel? Will you fight the headteacher if he fires you?"
In fact, she had gone to see her boss and practically had to beg on her knees to keep her job. He let her, as long as her older brothers kept away from the school, Alex leaves school for a week, and he gets extra tutoring...by Ani.
It's fair to say, that "Miss Lani" was absolutely trembling with anger. She was striding towards Camden Town to see her brothers. They had originally planed to meet anyway, only now it had more of a serious agenda.
To put her anger into perspective. She had punched three men in the face in the space of ten minutes, for whistling at her whilst she was walking down the street. She had speckled dots of blood on her knuckles and a mean look on her face.
What she was going to say to her brothers was still undecided. But she did know that as soon as she stormed into the warehouse, that her brothers would not say a word. They knew better than to argue with her when she was upset. She might have been small, and a woman. But she was strong willed and had a quick wit that could shut any man up.
As she neared the warehouse she stopped in her step. Multiple cars were parked outside the warehouse. There must be 8 raggedy and beaten cars, which would be able to seat 6 people each, at least. And another car. Which was grand. It looked like a car that the priminister would be seen in.
Either way. Ani ignored it and started towards the door. Even if the Priminister of Britain was in that warehouse she was still going to shout that warehouse down.
Sure enough, there were two men guarding the door as she neared them. "You can't go in Miss. There's a meetin'. Come back another time. Or you can wait and give us a special, eh?" The man that said this was soon on the floor.
Lani had punched him square in the face and kicked him in the balls. "If you talk to me like that again I will cut your balls off and shove them up your arse...hows that for a special?" she whispers in his ears as he drops slowly to the ground.
The other man was almost shaking in fear. He did not object to her walking straight past him. "What if I was an intruder, eh?" She sarcastically asks, giving him a smirk and a wink.
Before going through the doors she turns back around and spits on the other man. He does not make any efforts to move or say anything.
"Good boy" she says condescendingly.
Deciding that she had played with them enough, she waltzes past them. Feeling quite happy with the outcome.
Quickly changing her demeanor back to her original angry state she barges in.
