Polly greeted the family by the door with a huge grin plastered on her face. Angharad was happy that she wasn't there with a knife. Tommy hadn't spoken to her since their earlier intercation with Owain, he just sat there driving with a scowl on his face, setting Angharad on edge for the entire drive.

"Alright Pol" Tommy greets, his voice monotone and showing no emotion. Polly ignores him and runs past him to Angharad. She embraces her in a tight hug which feels like it will never end. Angharad, being the awkward person that she is begins to feel uncomfortable at this. She hated that she felt this way with Polly, a woman who has been a mother figure in her life in the past. But she didn't want to be this close to anyone.

Seeing this, Tommy coughs slightly and goes to get the twins out of the car, hoping to divert Polly's attention. Which works. Polly quickly drops lani from her grip and spins around to see the children. She tears up almost instantly at the sight of them.

"May I?" Polly asks, turning back to Lani momentarily. Angharad nods her head, giving her permission to hold her children.

While Polly dotes over the twins, Angharad sends Tommy a thankful glance. He nods in understanding. It always fascinated Angharad how they communicate with a simple look. No words needed to be spoken between the two for them to have a full conversation.

"What are their names?" Polly asks, not taking her eyes off the children, who were wide awake now after sleeping for a long period of time in the car, something which Tommy and Angharad were very thankful for.

For a second Angharad thought that she could see a cheeky smile begin to form on Tommy's face, but it is quickly re-established with a scowl once he sees Lani watching him.

"Arianwen and Carwyn. But if its easier you can call them by their second names. Dorothy and Thomas" Angharad spoke softly, reaching over Pollys shoulder and brushing Carwyns head gently. He watched her with wonder in his eyes. She truly had the most beautiful children on earth.

Once again tears begin to form in Polly's eyes. She looks up at Tommy who is still standing with an expressionless face. He is obviously tired and not wanting to speak to anyone, charming as always.

"Why don't we go inside Polly?" Angharad speaks softly, going around her to take one of the children from her arms, just so its easier to walk with them.

Polly agrees and begins to walk inside. It was Tommy's turn to send her a grateful glance, it was received with a cold nod, just like he had done.

As always the house was absolute chaos with the brothers shouting and babies crying, that was a rather new one. But the brothers loud voices were enough to break the children out of their brief moment of serenity and quietness. Both of them started screaming the moment they entered the house. Resulting in Angharad leaning over and taking Carwyn from Polly, so she now held both of the children and could try to calm them down together.

Without saying anything she walked back outside into the cold and begun swinging the children gently in her arms and singing them a lullaby. It didn't seem to be working. She had thought that maybe a walk would calm them down a bit. But she needed help to get into the car to get the pram. Tommy makes this easy for her as he opens the door and steps out.

"I've told them to keep it down" he mumbles walking over to Lani. She looked tired. Like she hadn't slept since the babies were born. She probably hadn't. They needed a night off. She needed a night off. Tommy was uncertain on their relationship and a night without the twins would surely be beneficial for that.

"They're not going to settle anytime soon. Could you help me grab the pram from the car? I'll take them down the street" Lani says, exhaustion filling her voice.

Tommy takes another step towards her and brushes her face gently with his hand. Lani was too tired to fight him on this. She longed for his touch and his comfort. After this Tommy takes both children from her and returns back indoors, leaving Angharad with a confused expression on her face. As well as this, she was pretty sure that she was turning blue from the cold.

Seconds later he returns without the children, instead rests a big black coat, one of his, in his arms and a peaky hat itself. The Shelby's weren't really the bobble hats and mittens type of family. No, they were the big coats and razor blade hats type of family.

He walked up to Lani and draped the coat around her shoulders, then placing the hat on her head. She looks up at him fondly. She remembered how that act was so foreign to him the first time they had gone out. Now he was a natural. Angharad pondered on the question, had he practiced that act on Grace? And what else had he done with Grace that he was now simply recycling with Angharad.

"We need some time alone" Tommy speaks softly, daring to bend his arm, indicating for Lani to take it. She does reluctantly and looks in front of her. She can feel Tommy's eyes burning into her, but she can't bring herself to look at him. Not when they're that close together.

"Please tell me you didn't give the twins to Arthur" Angharad asks sarcastically, earning a slight smile from Tommy. At least her humour was back.

"Why wouldn't I? He's great with kids" Tommy jokes, looking down at Lani lovingly. This makes her chuckle slightly. It wasn't quite her usual laugh, the one that Tommy craved. But it was a step in the right direction.

"I've missed this" Angharad says softly, her walls breaking down slightly. Tommy had that affect on her.

"I've missed you Leilani Solomons"
