The walk home was blissful and quiet. Both of them were tired and had a lot to think about, neither of them really liking to talk about their problems. Home, was Thomas's lodgings, Annie didn't think that going back to Ada's would be a good idea. Especially not with Thomas. When they arrived at Thomas's lodgings they slouched up to his bed, usually Ani would argue why Thomas didn't offer to sleep on the couch, but she knew that she would be lying to herself if she said she didn't want Thomas to sleep next to her. She did. She felt, safe. Before they entered Thomas's room, he came to a sudden halt. Turning to the girl before him he sighed, placing both his hands on her face, cradling her.

"I'm going to sleep in the bed in there, and I would like you to sleep in there with me. Is that alright?" He asks kindly. This action just made her heart flutter.

Instead of answering his question she shook his hands of her face gently, then in one movement, stepped towards the Shelby man and kissed him.

"I'll take that as a yes" he mumbles, opening the door with one hand, still keeping one firmly on Annie's wrist.

Honestly, Angharad knew that enough time had passed since the last time that she had had sex. Well, a better person had came in to her life. A person who will make her feel comfortable and loved. The complete opposite to how she was treated in previous years.

And by the looks on Thomas's face, he was born ready for this moment.

As soon as they entered the room Thomas pushed Annie against the door and continues their kiss. Only this time it was a deeper kiss. There was more meaning to it, the expectation that this will continue. He opens his eyes for a brief second, all Annie could see was lust. Deep, dark, lust.

Without a second thought they both scramble to rid eachover of their clothes. Both too entranced with eachover to remember the troubles of their days.

"I have to go back to Birmingham for a while. Will you be alright?" Thomas asks, half asleep. Obviously not wanting to discuss leaving Lani and risk upsetting her.

Lani turns over in the sheets, also half asleep. She struggles to open her eyes to look at Thomas, but eventually succeeds. His eyes not connecting with hers. Instead he is lying on his back and staring at the ceiling, like he was searching for something. Lani admired him in this state, his guard completly down.

"I will be fine. I should probably face Ada" she says, a smile playing on her lips.

"You should probably face your brother" he replies snarkily. As soon as he said that he seemed to regret it. Lani noticed his eyes widen slightly, not that she mentioned it.

"Okay, I'll see my lying brother, if you see your sister" she adds, with an equal amount of attitude and a touch more of frustration. Clearly not liking this topic of conversation.

"Touché Miss Solomons" he says, deciding to let the topic go, they will talk about Alfie later, probably once Lani had had a few to drink.

Taking a breath, Thomas continues to talk, this time with a new thought.

"You could come with me" he says, finally looking at the girl besides him.

Ani thinks for a second. She thinks of the pain that she is feeling around every corner of London. A break would be good for her. For her and Tommy. And to see Thomas in is 'natural habitat', to meet his family and see his life.

"Well, since you are practically begging me, I guess I could come for a few days" she teases.

Thomas laughs and looks down at her, her cheeky smile playing on her lips. He loved this. He could easily get used to waking up to that face every morning.

"I am begging you Leilani" he says softly, suddenly serious.

The girl chooses to ignore his serious stare. She wasn't in the mood for anything over than flirtatious talk and activities.

"Well, it's a good way of dodging our problems" she sighs, running her hand up his stomach and back down.

"I can think of another way" he says suggestively, before pushing Lani off him softly, obviously needing to get up.

Ani disagrees with this and sits up quickly, wrapping her legs around his waist, clinging onto his back.

"Nope, not done here" she says, kissing his neck softly "You're gonna have to take me with you" she giggles.

"That's the plan Leilani Solomons" he says. She could hear the happiness in his voice, she couldn't see his face, but she could hear his smile. That in itself bought a smile to Lani's face.

They just stay there for a while. Both consumed in their happiness and this image of domestic bliss. Both knowing that they hadn't had this before. Well, Ani new that. Thomas never told her any different.

"Cause I'm not going anywhere" he whispers, turning around and kissing her on the cheek. This gesture pushes her off him softly, so she falls back onto the bed. He turns around and stands up, looking over her and smirking.

"Stop looking at me like that you pervert" Ani giggles, throwing a pillow at him.

"Can't help myself" he says, throwing the pillow back at the semi naked woman in front of him. She was sprawled on the bed wearing nothing but his shirt. God he loved it ten times better on her. His smile dropped once he looked her over one last time. He hadn't properly studied her body before. On her collarbone she had a bruise. An almost healed bruise, but a bruise. His eyes trailed down to her arms, bruises plastered on her arms in the shape of fingerprints. Then finally down to her legs.

Her beautiful long legs. More bruises.

"Seriously stop looking at me like that" she says more seriously. Suddenly self councious about her bare body. She sits up on her elbows and gives him a stare. He was in a state of shock as he continued to analyse her. He didn't know it was that bad.

"Now, I've got to go. I'll pick you up from ada's after work, pack some stuff for a few days" he instructs. God his voice just melted her. Even this hard and cold voice. He was clearly upset.

"Yes, sir. Now leave, so I can get changed" she says, getting up and pushing him away slightly. Trying to ignore his new cold stare that would not leave her legs. He must want something better. Someone better. Someone who wasn't damaged. Broken.

"Okay okay Miss Solomons"
