THOMAS WALKED ANI TO HER DOORSTEP. Instead of waiting by the gate like any other man would, he walked her to her doorstep. Heavily implying that he wanted to stay, despite their recent dispute, if you could call it that. It was more Ani getting angry and Thomas ignoring that.

"Thank you for walking me home, goodnight" Ani snaps, walking to the door and slamming it shut. Or at least she tried to slam it shut.

Before it closed, Thomas had pushed it back open.  A new look in his eyes which he had not seen before. A dark, passionate look.

Lust.

He stormed in, passed Ani. He waited for her to shut the door, a stunned look on her face which didn't really know what to do with this new change in attitude.

Once she had closed the door, her back was pushed up against it.

Thomas Shelby did not wait to kiss her. He had been waiting all night. He felt the tension rising from the first glance at her that night. That red dress which hugged her curves perfectly, just begging to be ripped off. He wanted her. He needed her. And he always got what he wanted.

Well, almost always.

"Thomas" Ani whispers. Mustering all of her strength to push him away.

Don't get Ani wrong, she wanted him. She wouldn't admit it yet, but she wasn't ready. Obviously, she had had sex before. But she remembered her last time. With isaac. It was too recent. He hurt her, and as much as she liked Thomas, she wasn't ready to trust someone yet.

She wanted to build the emotional bond before going to the next level. She wanted to do things differently this time. She wanted to do this right.

"I'm sorry" Ani whispers, not looking in his eyes.

Thomas sighed and placed his forehead against Ani's.

"Look at me"  he said softly.

Ani complied and finally looked up at him. His blue eyes compelling her to follow anything he said.

"I've got to go" he whispers.

And with that, he left. Leaving Ani alone and confused.

Now, she knew his intentions. Why he walked her home every night, why he opened doors for her and acted romantic. Like he actually cared for her. He just wanted to fuck her and leave her.

She should have known it was too good to be true.

Sighing at yet another failed relationship, she takes off Thomas's coat and hangs it up. He'll come back to get it at some point. Then, she quietly walked up the stairs to her room.

Today was a Sunday. Ani didn't have much to do today, she felt as though she should see Ada and talk to her about Thomas. Not that she needed to know everything. But maybe just the basics. She knew that Ada would appreciate honesty, especially seeing as her brothers coat was hanging up in the hallway.

"Ani! Your crazy brother is here tearing the fucking house down!" Ada shouted up the stairs.

Of course he is.

Vincent Solomons rarely lost his temper. In fact, the last time that he had seen him lose his temper was when he was 15 and Ani was 13, he had gotten into a fight with a boy who made fun of Ani for speaking Welsh.  Let's just say he wasn't aloud to return back to school for a couple of weeks.

Now, he was rumaging through the drawers on Ada's desk cursing the words "fucking Shelby's" under his breath.

"Vin. What the hell do you think you're doing"
Ani storms into the room and puts her hands on her hips.

"Fucking Shelby's" he repeats himself instead of answering his sister.

Ani stomps over to him and drags him away.

"Beth yn y byd ti'n neud?"  (What in the world are you doing?) Ani resorts to Welsh as he usually answers to that.

"Mae nhw di bradychu ni" (They betrayed us) he spits, finally getting up.

"Pwy?" (Who?) Ani asks stepping closer to him.

"Fucking Shelby's. Tyd hefo fi" (come with me)
He huffs, grabbing his sisters wrist and pulling her into the hall.

"Mae nhw di lladd un o dynion ni...côt pwy di hwna?" (They've killed on of our men...who's coat is that?)
Vin's thoughts are interrupted as he sees Thomas's coat, he halts in his steos and stares at it.

"Ffrind" (a friends) ani mutters out, putting on a different coat and starting to head out the door.

Vin doesn't say anything else. He just huffs at his sisters discretions. Vin never asked more about his sisters 'friends', he didn't want to know.

Alfie was angrier than Vin, Ani didn't know that was possible.
"Leilani. Just the person I wanted to see" Alfie says in a condescending and passive aggressive way.
This was going to be bad.

"What's wrong?" Ani asks, taking a seat on the other side of his desk.

"Would you like to tell me who you were out with last night?" Alfie asks. He already knew the answer.

Ani stays quiet. She knew that whatever she did Alfie would shout at her. He would scream at her and wouldn't speak to her after that for a couple of months. That's what he did.

"Answer me!" He shouted, slamming his hand down on the table.

"Thomas fucking Shelby"  Ani says. Finding her confidence and leaning forward slightly. She knew it was hopeless to say any comforting words to her brother, she already broke his trust. There was nothing she could do now.

Vin storms out and slams the door behind him.

"Did you tell him that we are Russian and lived in Italy?" Alfie asks, going quiet.

"What has that got to do with anything?" Ani asks, grabbing the bottle of rum from Alfies side of the table. He had had enough.

"Answer the fucking question Lani" Alfie snaps again, actually breaking the glass in his hand making Ani flinch slightly.

"It may have come up"  Ani says, beginning to get frustrated.

"You pathetic little slut"  he seeths.

As soon as Alfie says this Ani lost all respect for her brother. He was as bad as Isaac. Isaac called her that, to make her feel weak, little.
Well, she wasn't going to be treated like that anymore.

"Хуй тебе" (fuck you) she says this quietly and steadily and full of hatred, although her confidence was there, hot tears of rage sprung to her eyes as she said it, not that she would let them fall.

Alfie's face fell as she spoke.

She smiled slightly as she left the warehouse and out onto the cold autumn streets of London.

She finally understood why Ada left her brothers.
