In all honesty Angharad had no idea what she actually wanted to do today. But she just wanted to be alone. As much as she loved her children, they didn't half piss her off, the constant cries all day and everyday were enough to make anyone crazy. She also wanted to prove a point to Tommy that it's difficult to do it by yourself, so if he does want to be in their life he will realise the work he has to put in.
For now though, angharad made her way back into small heath, more specifically to Charlie's yard. She had only been once with Polly before the twins were born. Polly said that the horses there were beautiful to ride so Angharad thought it was about time to meet them, seeing as her children's inheritance relied on them.
"Who are you?" A harsh voice sounds from around the corner. A scruffy middle aged man walks out with a pistol in his hand, lowering it slightly as he sees that it's a woman. At least he's got some morals.
"Angharad Garmon, although you may know me as Leilani Solomons" she says, going up to a bay coloured mare who was sticking her nose out of the stable. The man laughs, she guessed that this was Charlie. He starts to laugh slightly as he puts his gun in the lining of his trousers.
"Well, nice to finally meet you. You taking a horse out?" He asks, his attitude completely changed towards the woman.
"Yeah if that's alright. What's her name?" Annie asks, stroking the horses nose.
"Doesn't have a name yet, take her out for a spin eh" he says, passing her a saddle and the other tacking up gear, including a bit.
She shakes her head at it.
"She won't need it" Annie says softly, walking into the stable and starting getting her ready.Charlie scoffs slightly as he watches her handle the horse, this was Tommy Shelby's girl. The girl that broke his heart. It makes sense. There she was doing the most simplest of things, but she made it look intoxicating. Anyone could fall in love with her from a glance or a word.
"Well, have fun" he mumbles, walking out of the stables, leaving her alone with the mare.
After a few minutes the horse and the rider were ready, Annie lead her out of the stables and into the paddock to get her warmed up. She hadn't ridden a horse in years, but she found that as soon as she got on, it all came back to her. She was free again. She used to ride her horse, Cariad, to get away from her problems, from her various step dads who pressured her into things and hurt her, on her horse she could forget all that, trick her mind into thinking that she could just run away.
After a while, Annie led the horse into the field, they were both confident with each over.
Without a second thought, the mare broke out into a canter as they rode as one away from the Birmingham smoke. Away from their troubles. Away from their lives for a bit. A quick glance at what Annie's life could have been like.
Doubt spreads through her mind like the plague. If she had gone back to Thomas once she knew she was pregnant, is this what her says would look like? A nanny looking after the kids for a few hours while her and Thomas rode away from their problems for a while. Then they would return to the home that they shared and spend time going over the books together and planning a family holiday, or which school they wanted to send the twins to. Then they would put their children to bed, and think of how lucky they were.
Alas, that didn't happen. The two were bound to their past choices, which led them both to be the people they were today.
A few hours later Angharad lead the horse back into the paddock, leading her to the water and feed next to the fence. She had decided on a name. Del, meaning pretty in Welsh. The name was quite self explanatory. The horse was gorgeous.
