As the light shone through the window, you could tell another day has started. You sighed, as you knew things would never change in your new life.

It has only been a few months since your new wife decided to alter reality itself. Destroying the timeline and recreating it, making it so that it was only you two. Forever til the end of time, at least in her words.

Speaking of which, she wasn't in the room. She must be downstairs, probably cooking breakfast for the two of you. You headed downstairs hesitantly, wanting to savor the little time you had alone. Yet, you knew that she would come for you if you didn't come down eventually. You really had no choice...

You went into the kitchen, expectedly greeted by the sight of your wife... the woman who altered timelines and messed with the lives of millions, maybe even billions just to live a life with you.

"Ah, my dear! You're awake!" Timekeeper said with excitement, barely missing a beat as you walked in. She was so attuned to your every movement... it was creepy.

"Good morning..." You replied with uncertainty. Even if you had been married to her for months now, you could never get used to your life with her. Not with the way she obsessed over you. Not with everything you know about her.

"I'm starting to think you aren't a morning person." She says so completely casually, as if staying the one and only option it could be. "You're never very enthusiastic this time of day."

"Yeah... I suppose so." You replied, before muttering something under your breath. Timekeeper's eyes narrowed as she heard what you said.

"My dear... are you not satisfied with your current life here?" Her words sent shivers down your spine. You knew what she was capable of, and you couldn't help but wonder what she would do as a punishment, if she decided to punish you at all.

Instead, Timekeeper simply seemed confused. "I'll take that as a yes... why is that my dear?"

"I..." You hesitated, choosing your words carefully, as to not anger her. "I can't help but feel a bit odd though."

"Ah, I was worried when I saw this future." Timekeeper put her hand on your shoulder. "You're scared because I took drastic measures to be yours. But, my dear, isn't this what you wanted?"

You opened your mouth to reply, but no words came out. Timekeeper only smiled.

"You wanted a girl to take you away from your life with your family, as they were arranging you to meet many bachelors in hopes of arranging a marriage. One that would further their connections, at the cost of your happiness. You only wanted to run away from it all with the girl of your dreams, free from their expectations."

You... couldn't argue with her. You always did dream of the day when someone would help you run away from your life as the daughter of the owners of a wealthy business conglomerate. Fantasizing of the perfect life with your future wife. Yet, while this technically fit that description, it wasn't the way you wanted things to go.

"Dear, I know this isn't exactly what you envisioned." Timekeeper said to you, startling you as it was almost like she read your mind. "However, those are simply... minor details. Your dream came true, you've escaped from your past life and have found a woman who loves you for who you are. Who loves you more than anything. Please dear, let your worries melt away. I promise, I'll be the best wife you could ask for."

Timekeeper opened her arms up for a hug, awaiting you to join her. You hesitated before accepting her embrace.

She loved you, she truly did. Isn't this what you've always wanted? What you've dreamed about?

Yet, the memory of what she did stayed in your mind, and you couldn't shake off the weird vibes you got from her. You didn't know how to react to it all, nor how to feel about her and her affection.

But... this is what you'be always wanted, your dream. And she loves you so much. It's difficult, so difficult to reject this life she gave to you.

From the corner of your eye, you see Timekeeper, smiling a creepy smile in satisfaction.
