A poem inspired by the artwork , The Kiss by Gustav Klimt:
You've come back to me,
At the edge of this beautiful field
On top of these flowers that started to grow for the mere sight of us
My love,
I'll kneel for you
And you'll reach down to touch me
With your lips,
So gently on my cheek
With your hands,
Caressing my face in the most tender of ways
So delicate
I close my eyes.
I can't bare being any further away like we've been before
If only we could merge into one
With the purest of golds to hold us together.
With my eyes closed,
And with your hands on my face
I can believe we'll have forever
Where my wishes become actuality
But my heart knows this is our last moment
So I won't let your back be the last thing I see
I'll cherish this.
I'll cherish you in my arms
Where we shine the brightest
Where we turn the darkest of nights into the brightest of days
As we glisten brighter than the stars above our heads
We have them begging to be like our light
In this field of flowers
Your memory will linger
As I'm kneeled for you
You'll one last time
Touch my heart
