The next day came about, and Souei had finally informed Asriel of the plans that Rimuru has made the prior night. He was shocked, but wasn't surprised entirely, so he met up with Rimuru by the exit of Tempest who at this time was getting hugged by Milim. And so, the 5, Asriel, Rimuru, Milim, Veldora, and Diablo all went their way to go to the Ruins where the Chaos Dragon was sealed, without knowing trouble will follow them
"May I ask, what is this Chaos Dragon that everyone seemed to be concerned about?" Asriel asked
"The Chaos Dragon is my pet from a while ago!" Milim answered to him
Yes, 3 Demon Lords in one area, what could possibly go wrong here
"I don't know, something feels fishy about this" Asriel said
And from there, all the regular events of the Light Novel transpire, but the Ruins that they ended up going at wasn't where Asriel and Hinata went to. It was a Labyrinth with different Enemies, and eventually Dragons, but the 5 of them made quick work of each one. Until of course, a trap was set off that activated the defense system of the Labyrinth. But all those defenses were practically useless, as they tried to use it on the 5 most powerful beings within that area, but something unexpected happened, Velgaia, one of Milim's closest companions got revived, so naturally, Milim went off to fight the thing. Rimuru eventually had a confrontation with Mariabell, but that went as well as one would expect, Mariabell managed to escape, only becasue one person interfered in their fight
"Yuuki?!" Rimuru said in disbelief as they looked at Yuuki
"Greetings, Lord Rimu-" Yuuki was cut off with a boulder being thrown on his body that knocked him back
"Gah-!" Yuuki groaned in pain as a bigger boulder fell on his torso, keeping him in place
Rimuru looked at where the Boulders were coming from, and wouldn't you know it, he found Veldora and Asriel being the ones that were throwing the rocks. Asriel immediately pointed at Veldora
"He did the second one!"
"Come on he's an enemy, rocks should be no problem to him" Veldora tried to reason
(Are these two really as powerful as they are?) Rimuru thought
That aside, Rimuru then walked up to Yuuki. As Yuuki appeared to be pleading for mercy with just his face. But then Rimuru shattered the Boulder, and let Yuuki go free. Now, with Yuuki and Mariabell taken care of, time to check the progress Milim has made. And when they checked, she didn't have much progress with Velgaia, she was just toying with him, Rimuru and Asriel both knew what needed to be done, and that was to pacify him. So, Asriel used his Extra Skill: Kindness to make it easier for both Milim and Rimuru to talk to Velgaia. And with Kindness in effect and Milim being the one he's talking to, the Chaos Dragon eventually gave in, where Rimuru extracted his core, and absorbed him. However Milim seemed a little sad, so Rimuru decided to give her an Egg that will eventually hatch into Velgaia. And with that, the Labyrinth was done and everyone went home.
Asriel then once again reunited with Chara. But something seems off with her, it's like she was up to something
"Hey Chara, wanna go to the Golden Flower Garden?" Asriel asked her
"Hm? Oh sure" Chara said, seeing this as a good opportunity to carry out some orders
The two then walked towards the Garden, as they both gazed at the beautiful sight of the Golden Buttercups
"So, what have you been up to lately?" Asriel asked Chara
"Nothing much, just helping around town and such" Chara replied
"So um.. what brings you here?" Asriel asked Chara
"What do you mean?" Chara asked confused as to what he meant
"I mean what brings you here in this world, who or what brought you here?" Asriel clarified
"Well, I can't remember much, but I was staying in a Void until I was summoned here by a self-proclaiming Creator God. I didn't really understand what they meant, but after that, I was sent right here to Tempest. But I do remember them telling me something that I'll be here in your benefit" Chara explained to him
"Creator God? Hm.. sounds a bit ominous" Asriel commented
"Yeah it is" Chara replied
Chara was right behind Asriel, but- she was hesitating to carry out the order that was given to her. So time passed, but she couldn't do it
But eventually, Asriel brought Chara to the Capitol, where he took her around, and showed her the place. After all she IS close to him to she should know where he goes to work for
"Hey, Azzy, can you turn around for me for a sec?" Chara asked him
"Hm? Oh yeah sure" Asriel said as he turned around, facing a Bookshelf in Rimuru's Office
And suddenly, with that, Chara's hand turned pitch black as she pushed it against Asriel, and began extracting the 7 Souls from Asriel's body, and when she pulled away her hand. There they were, the 7 Souls that had been powering Asriel this whole time. After extracting them, Chara kicked Asriel towards the Bookshelf as the Shelf broke down
"C-Chara..!" Asriel tried calling out to her
"You've been reliant on these Souls for far too long, Azzy. I've seen it all, you never really gained more power, you've been using your borrowed power from these 7 to lie to yourself that you're strong even though you're not" Chara told Asriel as she encased the 7 Souls in a Black Orb of Void Energy
"T-tch.." Asriel tried to summon a Red Fireball, but without the Determination Soul, he can barely do any Magic, he's been deprived of 80% of his Skills. Only having Spatial Domination, Sorcerer, Bullet Hell, Gluttony and Heavy Duty
"Your Physical Power is all reliant on these Souls, so without them, you can't even beat Shion" Chara told him
Chara then turned around as she opened a portal, leading to somewhere far, far away
"When you finally find your own power, come challenge me, and then I can deem you worthy of wielding these 7 once again. Until then, get stronger, Asriel" Chara said before walking into the portal leaving
And just on time, Rimuru, Benimaru, Shion and Shuna bursted through the door
"What happened?!" Benimaru said as they all looked at Asriel
(Asriel's Aura... it, weakened. A lot, maybe too much...)
"Asriel, what happened here?"
Weakened and injured, Asriel simply looked where Chara had walked into the portal, and said this before passing out;
"C-Chara... Dreemurr.."
