Eddie lit his cigarette as he walked out if his trailer. He hoped it the rain would wait until after the kids were long in bed.

Though from the look of the sky it was probably going to rain soon.

Eddie was on his way to pick his assigned children for the night, Max being the closest. He messed with the bottom of his shirt, nervous over his costume.

Max was waiting on her porch, already dressed and ready to go. This year for Halloween she was going as Jason from Friday the thirteenth.

"Really Red?" he raised his brows at her, he couldn't see her face behind the hockey mask but she looked him up and down.

"Why do you look like a stripper?"

He faked gasp but just turned around to walked back to his van, Steve informed him they would need it tonight. He didn't know if he should be scared or excited.

Max followed him  and they drove to pick the others up.

Eddie realized as he headed towards the Byers house, that driving with heels was not a smart idea. And that he should've worn flats or gone barefoot. But he would suffer because his costume was amazing.

"Byers children, hurry up we have to go meet Steve and the others stat."

Will and El got in the van quickly, careful not to smoosh their costumes. El and Will were both dressed as their d&d characters. That made Eddie smile.

They got the Wheelers house quickly, Steve's car was already in the driveway, Robin and Vicki waiting by the door.

The kids went and hugged them before running inside. "Thanks Eddie, see you in four hours."

He walked over to the girls. "You look stunning ladies."

"Not as good as you." Robin looked him up and down, while Vicki whistled. He rolled his eyes. "Steve is going to have a heart-attack."

Vicki was in sparkly rainbow top with stripped sequin pants, a studded collar around her throat, kitten heels and blue ankle socks. She even had a wig on to make her hair look much shorter and to get the right color.

Robin was on a maid's costume, not one of the ones with a fluffy skirt, but one that was straight down almost to her knees, fishnets on and a pair of boots, and her wig was amazing and huge. Her black eye shadow was a bit smudged, but that just made it more in character he thought.

"I see his car but where is he?" Eddie dramatically looked around.

"Inside, talking to Mr. Wheeler. We escaped out here to wait for you."

Eddie was grateful for that, waiting outside by himself would've been not fun, but waiting in the house where he would have to see Ted and Karen Wheeler? That would've been hell.

"Argyle is already at the party, and don't worry its a very small one full of ex theatre and band kids we'll be okay."

Meaning they didn't have to hide their relationships.
