Steve was seriously regretting hosting HellFire at his house.
Originally they had been holding meetings at Hopper's old cabin, however a storm the week before had made a tree fall down and crush the cabin.
Dustin and Eddie had managed to save a few of their things but it was clear that they wouldn't be able to fix the cabin. And like the good boyfriend and mother figure he was, Steve offered his house as the next spot.
He didn't know how to deal with premeeting Eddie.
He was running around the room, making sure everything was perfect and in the right spot. This wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't started growling to himself everytime an object wasn't exactly where he wanted it.
"son of a bitch, Jesus fucking Christ. Damn it!" Curses came out right of his mouth as he threw a figurine down. Then promptly picked it up again.
He had very strong feelings for Eddie, so despite him being concerned he enjoyed seeing the passion in his boyfriend's face.
Even if that meant he had to supply all the snacks and speed clean before all the members of the club. He was happy he didn't have to pick them up this time, he was tired and didn't feel like driving.
"Steve! Eddie! Here!" Dustin announced his arrival, dramatically walking with his hellfire items ready.
"Come in Dustin! Please make your dungeon master chill the fuck out." Steve ran to him, "he is going crazy perfectionist."
Dustin, the little shit, just laughed. "That's how he gets. You're lucky if he isn't throwing things at you beforehand."
If only Steve had known this sooner, he had actually not seen Eddie right before a campaign. He had seen him plan them, they made him irritable but this was a whole new level.
"Henderson, great fix them they're not in the right spot." Eddie had his hand on his face like he was trying to figure out what was wrong.
"Eddie, here just move this one." Dustin moved a figure over and just like that Eddie's shoulders loosened and he looked calm.
Passions like his were rare, Steve thought. It was so intense and strange. He hasn't felt like that his entire life, not for basketball or swim. Not until he started being the "babysitter".
He walked over to Eddie and pulled him in for a quick kiss. "The campaign will be great."
"Ewwww get a room."
"We're in my house Henderson, plus it was only a quick kiss." Steve rolled his eyes but felt a smile creep on his face when Eddie wrapped his arms around him.
Dustin made a dramatic disgusted face at them.
"So rude, you don't like that your parents like each other?" Eddie teased, reminding them of what Dustin and said at the dinner with Claudia and Wayne.
