I awoke to the sound of my alarm. Stupidly, I'd forgotten to turn it off, considering it was a Saturday. I reached my hand out to the nightstand and slapped the top of the croaking clock. Then I felt Ashley squirming underneath me, it seemed to have woken her up too.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, "I forgot to turn it off last night."

She gave me a tired smile, "It's fine."

I put my head back down on her chest and my wrapped my arms around her, just like I had when before I'd woken up.

"Good morning."

I sighed, "Yeah, at 5:00 am."

"I don't get why you have to get up so early."

I lifted my head up to look at her, "Do you really think this..." I gestured at myself in circular motions, "Just happens?"

She smiled, "I didn't realize how long your morning routine was."

"Yeah, well get used to it because when we get married, I'll be waking up this early every single day."

"We're getting married?"

"Well duh, eventually. That's how relationships work. They make their way up the ladder until they reach marriage."

She pecked my lips, "Sounds good, future wife."

I laid my head down on her chest again, mainly to hide the giant smile on my face.

"Speaking of future." She began, "How the fuck am I going to tell my parents that I'm dating a thirty two year old with kids?"

"Don't tell them."

"If we're going to get married some day, I would assume I'll have to tell them at some point."

I thought about it for a while. What would be a good way to tell her parents?

Then, after a few minutes, I came up with a brilliant plan, "I'm a genius." I said, sitting up with my legs straddling her waist as she laid there and looked up at me.

"You are? I thought you were a dumbass."

"Fine, then I just won't tell you my amazing idea and you'll have to figure something out yourself."

She grinned and took my hands, pulling me onto her. My body rested on hers as our faces were inches only apart. Even with her morning breath I wanted to shove my tongue down her mouth.

"I'm sorry, you're the smartest person I know."

I couldn't take it anymore. I connected our lips, sharing our first kiss of the day at five in the morning.

"Fine, I'll tell you." I said, landing one more quick kiss on her lips before continuing, "I had the thought that you could introduce me as your friend from work. Then I could make the best impression possible so that they love me. And after a few get togethers, you can announce that we've started dating."

"Actually." She began, sitting up next to me in the process, "That's a pretty good idea."

"Yeah, I know."

She sat there in thought for a while before gasping, "I have a better idea."

"Not possible."

"Fine, it's not as good as yours."

I smiled, "Proceed."

"What if I introduced you to my parents tonight."

My eyes widened, "Are you fucking crazy?"

"Last time I checked, you're the one that tells people you want them to die on a daily basis. So, I'm pretty sure, between the two of us, you would be the-"
