A/N
(Contains spoilers for season 4)
Sooo, season 4 came out.
*sigh*
I honestly don't know how to feel, i cried way to much watching that. I WAITED 3 YEARS FOR THAT, HUH? Honestly i think they could've done better. Rayla wanted Callum back right away, which was the main problem. It felt like there was no more chemistry, she just wanted him and couldn't get the hint that he wasn't ready again. I think things will go better for season 5, if they don't get back together then for SURE season 6. That's all I'm praying.
Also idk what to do abt my book characters anymore, should i make them their old design or their new one?
Lea out <3
...
"Dad!" Callum exclaimed, running out of the castle. He pulled Ethari into a huge hug before turning to Runaan and doing the same.
"So?" He asked, slightly hopeful. Ethari and Runnan exchanged a glance before looking down. Callum's hope instantly deflated.
"How is she?" Runaan asked.
Callum let out a long sigh. "Terrible, she won't even eat anymore."
Ethari looked at the ground. "I don't know what to do anymore. If we can't fix this Ezran will have to take the throne. I already spoke to him about it and he really does not want the responsibility."
Runaan sighed and put a hand on Ethari's shoulder to comfort him. It made Callum want to run and comfort his wife. He glanced at his room, seeing the dim light coming from the window. Ethari noticed this.
"Go to her, tell her that she needs to come down tonight."
Callum nodded and got up, speed walking into the castle. He raced through the halls, passing Soren who was deep in thought and into his room. He smiled when he saw Rayla sitting up and drinking hot chocolate, smiling slightly as she listened to Ezran ramble off about things. He leaned against the doorframe, watching his 2 favorite people get along. Rayla turned and saw him, eyes widening slightly.
"Hi." She whispered. Callum walked towards her and sat on the edge of his bed.
"How are you?" He asked.
She sighed slightly. "A little bit better, I'm just havin a hard time processin."
Callum leaned forward and grabbed her hand. "I know, but you can't blame yourself. It was a complete accident Ray."
She smiled at the nickname. "Thanks Cal, i just don't know what to do anymore."
"I don't know either, but as long as we have each other everything will be fine."
She looked up at him. "Promise?"
"Promise."
Callum squeezed her hand and turned to Ezran who was wiping some tears away. He smiled at his brother, grateful for cheering her up.
"Dad came back, they found nothing. But they want you to come to dinner."
Rayla nodded. "Fine, I'll come."
