Soren sat at the bar, slowly sipping his beer while watching Skye talk to another guy. He groaned into his hands, turning to Callum.
"Ugh why does love have to be so hard?"
Callum nearly spat out his drink. "Love?" He gestured to Skye. "You're already calling that love?"
"Yeah." He sighed dreamily. "It's already love."
"And you think she loves you back?"
Soren nodded, taking another gulp of beer before standing up. "I'm going in- again."
"Do you really think that's the best idea?"
Soren flashed him a smile. "Only one way to find out."
"He's totally drunk." He mumbled to himself, turning to watch them. Soren crossed the room, eyes only for Skye. Her hair was pulled back into a messy bun, a couple of pieces framing her delicate face. She was wearing the same dress from before, only with a small cardigan on top. Callum can admit that she looked really nice, maybe too nice for Soren.
"Soren, we're supposed to be helping my wife." Callum shouted out, Soren ignoring him completely. Callum grabbed his beers and took a huge gulp to calm his nerves for Soren. He stopped to watch Soren walk up to Skye. They exchanged a few incoherent words before she stood up and threw the other guy's beer straight into Soren's face. Callum burst out laughing at his confused friend, quickly walking over to see what happened.
Soren was standing there in shock, beer running down his face and armour.
"What happened?" Callum asked, smirking.
Skye huffed and watched her date walk away before she turned to Callum. "This ass just ruined my date."
Soren wiped his face, his hair slicking back because of they liquid. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Skye rolled her eyes and began walking away. Soren quickly grabbed her arm and forced her to look at him. "Please, we need help."
She struggled to try and get out of his grasp, but Soren did not budge. "Please, it's not for me it's for him." He pleaded desperately.
She turned to him, confused. "What does a prince and royal guard need help with?"
"W-what, h-how did you know?!" Callum spluttered. Skye pulled away from Soren's grasp and turned to Callum with a small smile.
"You have the king's crest on your bag stupid."
Callum looked at his bag strap, sure enough there was Ethari's crest on it. "Oh."
"Please, you have to help us." Soren asked, looking at Skye with puppy eyes.
She turned to Soren and sighed. "C'mon, sit."
She gestured to a round table in the corner of the restaurant. Soren smiled excitedly, nearly running to the table. He stopped to pull out a seat for Skye, helping her to sit down. She nodded at him and earthed as he sat down next to Callum across from her.
Skye tapped her fingers onto the table, a look concentration on her face. "So.... What do you need help with?"
"Do you know where the town Aeredale is?"
Skye sat up. "Of course, it's a couple of days away."
"Do you know how to get there."
"Of course."
Callum turned to Soren. "This whole time, you didn't know where we were going?!" He exclaimed.
"Yeah..." soren smiled sheepishly. "But it's fine cause Skye's gonna help us now!"
Skye turned to soren confused. "I'm gonna what now?"

A/N
For any of you Americans, ik the legal drinking age is 21 where you live, and it might confuse you since Callum is 17 and Soren is 19. But where I live the age is 18 cause the French just have more class lmao. Also just suspend reality cause the timeline is set to be possible a couple hundred years ago, so drinking ages weren't really a thing.
Hope you guys are enjoying this so far tho,
