The next day, we woke up early at 5:30 AM.

Everyone else looked sleepy and our hair was untidy. I bet mine was, too.

Our agenda that day was to surpass our limits and increase our bodies' endurance. Aizawa had made it a point that morning that we haven't been focusing enough on improving our quirks, using Bakugo as an example to show the class the small difference in how far we could throw a softball with our quirk.

I stood in an open space that was further away from the trees, mumbling to myself in contemplation. I wasn't sure how I should train.

I glanced over across the field, Bakugo was putting his hands in a barrel of hot water before blasting an explosion above him. It was loud, shaking the ground every five seconds. Maybe what he's doing now may help strengthen his smaller blasts, somehow.

Bakugo helped push me to become aware of my quirk at its best ability so far. I have to add to that and show something better. I want to stay on par, I can't fall behind. But how?

"Kitty, are you going to start soon?" Pixie-Bob said, walking over to me.
"Ah, I'm a little confused about what I should do."

I explained to her how my quirk worked and immediately, her face lit up as like an idea clicked into her head.
"You see Todoroki over there? He's learning to quickly switch between ice and fire. Why don't you try that but with water and solidifying?"

I pondered and nodded. "Yeah, that would work."
"I'll leave you to it then!" The hero said, her voice high and airy.

I solidified some water beneath me to create a makeshift surfboard and flew up to create a ring of moving waves for me to surf on.
"Oh shit," I shook, trying to balance as I moved across the current. To my dismay, my platform broke in half, dropping me into the water beneath.
I squirmed before I managed to move the water around me away. That was adrenaline-kicking, wow.

At least I know now that I have a long way to go to be able to put this solidification ability to good use.

The thought tired me.
I smacked my cheeks. Focus.
Alright, my agility sucks so I should move around while switching between water and solidification.

I started off just by being able to at least surf and do turns while emitting large amounts of water.

"Ah!" I yelped, saving myself the pain of hitting the ground with water instead.

"How's training going so far, Kanami?" Aizawa inquired, walking over.
"Oh, uh. I keep slipping but I'm getting the hang of it." I told.

"Getting tired?"
I processed what he said a little slowly. That didn't sound like something he'd ask. I nodded, "Yeah...?"

Part of me was hoping he'd allow me to rest but to my surprise, he stared at me dead in the eye and said. "Good, keep going."

"Oh."

"Don't stop until you drop. As long as you live, that's how hard this camp is. Remember where you came from."

Oh.

"Yes, sir." I complied, returning to my strenuous training.
Sure, I feel left behind because half of my quirk is weaker than the other.

My old schoolmates—I should be getting over this.

In the end, unfortunate events in my life led me here and gave me a dream to target towards.

My solidification abilities will help me reach that dream, but skills need proper nurturing.
