Breaking up is never easy.

You're saying goodbye to someone with whom you shared experiences and created memories. The abandonment and the lack of companionship in the following days can make or break you. Especially, if you loved them very much. After all, love hurts and not all love is experienced in the same way. Love can be joyful, fulfilling, and enlightening, but it can also break someone down, and become obsessive and maniacal. It's the most powerful element in our world.

Liam didn't know exactly what to feel. He felt this anger boiling inside of him, clouding the hurt in his heart, but he was also hurt and sad at how everything came around. The thought of Zayn kissing and loving Harry made his insides twist in anger and sadness. How could he have been so blind? How could it be that he did not see what was happening right in front of his eyes?

His friends saw him as a villain, his ex-husband as a past, and his son hated him...They needed to understand! Liam was in pain and pain couldn't be tamed or controlled. He had been the one whose heart was broken, why was everyone cuddling up with Zayn? How could he resume his life when his heart was at stake? He had been so sure of his future, of everything about their life and now none of it would come to be.

Liam sat down on the chair, trembling his knee up and down. He kept a picture of Harry and Zayn kissing in front of him and being so happy together. It came to him like a punch in the gut, making up to clasp his hands together and squeeze. The questions bubbled up inside his mind: had Zayn ever been that happy or was he just hoping he was? Had all of this been a fantasy in his mind and, most importantly, when was all of this going to be over?

Liam closed and opened his hand feeling his knuckles sore still. He never intended to hit Zayn- it just got out of control. It had all happened so fast: one moment they were speaking, then he saw red and just...punched.

Liam loved him. A storm kind of love. A love that caught him by surprise.

Could it be wrong to say he wanted him still? That he loved Zayn still? He was willing to throw all of this behind them, move to another country with Jaimie and start over without Harry. Just them. He was willing to give them another chance.

If Zayn would come back, Liam swore to himself he'd change. The businessman had held Zayn too tightly and too strongly, with the fear that if anyone dared to see that there was room, they'd jump in and steal Zayn away. Liam would be different. Less intense, and less demanding. If only Zayn took him back

"Liam," the solicitor called. The businessman looked up with anger in her eyes. "Due to this decision to not give up the wellness centres, expect this to turn into a lengthy matter."

"I'll talk to him," Liam added with certainty.

"Any mediation or settlement will be achieved through his legal team and yours, which in this case is me. No contact between the two of you."

"Why not?"

"Because you beat him to a pulp, Liam. Need I remind you?"

"I didn't mean to. It wasn't aimed that him." Liam frowned. "And he hit me too!"

"It doesn't matter. The truth is that neither of you can be in close vicinity of the other. Let the respective legal teams handle whatever steps." Denise argued. "I'll schedule a meeting with his team, see where he stands and then bring whatever conclusions to you. You either agree or don't and then I take the information back to them. Back and forth, until we reach a decision."

Liam chose to stay in silence, assessing the information and trying to understand that everything he had built with Zayn was going to be torn to shreds. The businessman got up from his chair and walked over to the window. Looking out, he noticed the rain continued to fall softly on a very grey London. Looking down, he saw Harry and Zayn speaking below - again, that thunder of rage brewed within him.
