Where did life go so wrong? Oh right, the vampirism!

When Niklaus was a boy, he'd fancy himself our protector, for myself and Rebekah. He was older after all.

When he had discovered what our father did to me, knowing it was his fault, my brother stupidly challenged Mikael to a duel after a different act of stupidity. If it wasn't for mother's healing charms I don't know what could've become of him.

However, as with Elijah, Nik quickly learned and accepted my independence and grew to trust my judgement. The same could not be said of our sister.

The hybrid would always see her as a damsel in need of her brothers' protection. As a result, Rebekah was given little to no agency to make her own choices. He didn't trust her with anything.

See, I've never been daggered because of something I did. Rather the decision was based on how angry I would be at the daggering of Rebekah or Kol. So safe to say I was in that box often.

He does it to Kol as well, but I've always felt a particularly feeling of possessiveness with our sister. In spite of this, she never worked to destroy my brother. Up until two days ago, I would've said she's the only sibling who hadn't.

So his anger can not be the result of the intention. I know the Mikael of it all drove him overboard, but Rebekah being the one to do it is what's hitting him so hard.

She's not a baby. She's a stupid adult just like the rest of us.

'An adult currently hiding in her sister's bosom.'

She's terrified of him! Of what he'll do to her.

Elijah spoke in a calm voice as he stared at our brother. "Walk away."

My brother's booming voice made me jump. "Don't move."

Elijah looked at me. "Get her away from here."

Before I could speak, my sister interrupts. "I can't. I'm stuck here. Elijah, he has the white oak stake." The fuck he does!

I stare back and finally notice the damn weapon in his hands as he smirks. "I brought it for you, sister."

I spit out. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" I was livid.

His attention snaps to mine. "Justice. Do you disagree, Talia?"

I feel myself letting go of Rebekah as I step forward. "The fact that you would even threaten such a thing cuts deeper than you know."

He chuckles. "Well then, maybe you could consider that pain as a mere morsel of what I've been dealing with!"

I hear Elijah speak to our sister. "Get out of his sight. Your presence here only serves to anger him. Leave him to us now."

I continue to stare at him. "You had everything in this argument, and you just threw it all away! All because you can't control your temper. Death? You want to murder our sister? My sister?"

For just a moment, I can see a flash of pain in his eyes, but is quickly clouded by anger. Elijah steps forward. "I'm asking you, brother to brother-we end this nonsense now." And places a hand on my shoulder in an attempt to calm me down.

Klaus snarls. "You would side with that traitor, as Talia has done!"

"I am not choosing sides, but I will not allow you to hurt our sister." I shake my head at his words. He refuses to listen.

As expected, Klaud ignores him. "We cannot leave this cemetery, Elijah. How long do you think the two of you can defend her?" He tries to speed past us, but we're quicker. Blocking him on both sides.
