Why was Hayley calling me? I had no discernible opinions regarding her wolves or her wedding. Which meant this was a new problem that I would have to add to the list.

She sighed. "I just talked to Marcel."

I raised an eyebrow. "About?"

"Finn."

I gulped. "I saved him from Finn."

She shrugged. "Well then, I guess your brother found a new way to get Marcel to cooperate. He's threatening the lives of his vampires unless he brings him some of my blood. Marcel thinks it has something to do with a locater spell for Hope. Talia, please tell me you knew nothing about this."

I cringe. "I may have just found out from Kol that Finn is honing in on that being the secret. But that was just last night. You're dealing with a lot, we didn't wanna worry you."

She scoffed. "Funny, that sounds like the same excuse you gave me after I learned that Esther was trying to track down Rebekah after you all spent the whole day trying to prevent it. And I told you afterwards that I wanted to stay in the loop regarding threats to my daughter!"

I sigh. "Hayley, you have every right to be pissed at me. But you have responsibilities today. Finn won't get to Hope right now, so focus on uniting your pack and making it strong enough to defend Hope when we bring her home. Does that make sense?"

I heard her sigh in defeat. "It does."

"Good." I nod. "We are handling it. Trust us."

"Okay. But for the future, please tell me when things like this are happening. Even if I'm not doing anything to help, I would still like to know. I don't give a crap how worried I get. Can you do that for me?" She asked.

I agree and hang up, looking at Klaus. "I think Finn's suspicions have turned into fact. He's trying to use a locater spell. He's strong, but not enough to break whatever spells Rebekah placed on that child."

My sister smirks. "You have no idea how many cloaking spells are on her."

I turn to him again. "We need to tell Elijah. He should be prepared." Momentarily forgetting all of the words exchanged between us mere minutes ago.

Klaus nods and dials our brother's number. But it goes to voicemail, which makes him more frustrated. "Pick up the damn phone, Elijah! Finn is trying to find Hope!"

Rebekah sighs. "Did you not hear me? She's safe! It'll take a hundred witches to break the cloaking spell."

Our brother scoffs. "I would've said the same about Mother finding you, and yet, a flock of starlings later, and here we are!"

I sigh. "Klaus, screaming at us will not make that go away."

Our sister shakes her head. "He won't let him get to her, Nik. But you need to remain calm."

"Our brother doesn't do calm." All our heads turn to the entrance where Kol is once again standing menacingly before he blows powder in Rebekah's face. Causing her to almost fall limp to the ground until I catch her and slowly lower her down.

I softly approach him, pushing back Klaus who moved to lunge at him. "Kol, talk to me please-"

He cuts her off. "I'm done talking!" And pushes me back with a strong gust of wind.

Without me there to stop him, Klaus lunges at our brother yet again, but Kol stops him this time. Sending him to the ground as he casts a spell that made him bleed. He was trying to get his blood.

No.

"Kol! You know what's at stake! Do you really want Finn to get our niece?" I plead to him.

I saw his expression of malice crack as he softened, before returning to anger again. "It's him, Tia! All him! He brings us to the edge and then calls it treachery when we fight back!" Snarling when he saw Klaus' hybrid eyes shine to the surface and he lets out a growl. "Oh, you're angry, are you? Well, join the party, I've been here a thousand years!" Klaus tries to lunge for him again, only to once again receive a painful spell. I'm conflicted on whether or not I want to intervene here. I'm not letting Kol leave with his blood, but Kol is finally letting all of this off his chest. "I was building that dagger to protect myself against you, Nik. Like Tia said! I'm not the bad guy in this chapter of our family's story! I'm the wronged! I'm the dead, but never mourned, and whilst you got everything that you wanted. I got a family who didn't care if I lived or if I died!"
