Melo let out a big sigh of relief. The butterflies were actual butterflies not moths tonight. When they were released she let out a tiny chuckle because Kaan actually flinched. The poor man was going to have PTSD anytime he saw a butterfly or moth from now on. He had tried to be a good sport about the whole thing. He failed, but at least he tried.

She was watching him over in the corner, he looked very dashing in his suit. He blended in nicely with the guests. It was a nice feeling to have him watch over her, it had been a very long time since anyone other than Eda watched over her. She knew he was a rental but it felt nice just the same. Melo watched the crowd making sure that no one was getting too rowdy.

Things were going well she thought after the disaster of yesterday when Melo felt a big shove from behind, it propelled her into the room. What in the world she thought? She regained her balance in time to see two men come barreling towards her, oh no, the grooms cousins were fighting again. Melo was in the path about ready to get run over when all of a sudden the men were stopped in their tracks. Officer Karadag had come up from behind them and grabbed both by their collars, knocking their heads together and some sense into them. He wasn't the worst news for the pair, no, their mothers had seen their fighting and each came up to grab one of their sons ears, twisting them painfully as they dragged them away.

Kaan went over to Melo, "Are you okay? Did they hurt you when they bumped into you?"

"No, I was just surprised. They came out of nowhere. Thank you for handling that so fast. I don't know what I would have done had you not been here."

He smiled at her, "Just doing my job, making sure that you are safe. I'll go back over and be wallpaper now."

He would try to be wallpaper but some of the single ladies had other ideas. At regular intervals they came up to Kaan and asked him to dance, when he said that he wasn't there to dance they would leave. Another group would come and flirt with him, when he politely would say he was working they would leave. After that group left the first group would come back with food. Melo finally took pity on him after watching him get steadily more uncomfortable.

"Ladies, excuse me, I'm sure he's flattered by the attention but he's with me tonight. You understand."

Kaan breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you, I think we're even. The fighters were easier to take care of than the ladies."

"No problem, after your heroics earlier and you looking so dashing in your suit they just couldn't help themselves. That should keep them away for a while. The wedding only lasts for another hour then I have to make sure that everything gets broken down so we should be here two hours more tops."

"I'm good, let me know what you need me to do Melo." Kaan smiled at her, she thought he was dashing and heroic, huh.

Melo had to walk away and try not to fan herself, he really had been quite heroic earlier. And strong, and he did look dashing in his suit. She was going to go over and get herself a glass of cold water and remind herself that he looked at her as a job and nothing else.

Kaan dropped her off at the Bolat estate late that evening, everything was dark and quiet. Melo got out of the car as soon as it stopped. By the time Kaan had gotten out of the car she was halfway to the door.

"Melo, I should walk you to the door to make sure you're safe," he said as he hurried after her.

"Seriously Kaan, it's a short distance, I'm fine."

She turned the key in the lock, "I'll see you on Thursday." Melo slipped into the door and closed it before she did anything stupid like kiss him.

Kaan walked back to the car confused, had he offended Melo? He hoped not. He liked her, she was smart and funny. She could have been a General in the Army the way she had her weddings organized, she was impressive. He would be on his best behavior on Thursday.
