Serkan slammed out of the interview room into his office and closed the door, he tried to call his father but it went straight to voicemail. Maybe he was in a meeting, he often forwarded calls when in meetings. Serkan called the Basar law office to see if his father was in but was told that he wasn't expected. He was getting a sick feeling. He called his mother.

"Anne? Have you talked to baba recently? I needed to talk to him and I wasn't sure if he was at work or not, " lied Serkan.

"No Serkancim, he had a meeting with an investor about selling the holding, he should be home shortly, If you call him he should answer, he will answer in the car."

"Okay anne, I'll try that, see you soon."

Serkan went back into the room with Engin and motioned him outside. "Let's cut a deal with Bedo, call the prosecutor and find out the best deal they'll give him, let them know all the extenuating circumstances. Do me another favor and tell Tahir that we don't need anything from him unless he's ready to roll on Aptekin and his boss. Otherwise tell the judge no bail and this time we mean it. Send Leyla for Bedo's appointment book from his apartment, we should have the warrant that allows us to get it. My father isn't answering his phone. He isn't in the office and should be answering. I have to try to find him."

Engin squeezed Serkan's upper arm, "Will do, let me know if you need me."

Serkan raced out of the building to his car, he hated this feeling but he couldn't shake it. He drove towards the family home calling his father over and over but getting no answer.

Serkan called Eda, "Hey, What's up?

"Eda?"

"What's wrong?"

"I'm not sure, I'm trying to reach my father and I can't. I talked to my mother and she said he should be on his way home. He always answers and he's not. I have a bad feeling about this. Can you do me a favor and just keep an eye on my mom?"

Eda caught the worry in his voice, the last part was a mixture of scared young man, "I'm going down there right now. Don't worry, I'll stay with her until I hear from you."

"Thank you." He hung up concentrating on the drive.

Serkan was about a mile from home when he noticed what looked like skid marks and glass from a car, an accident had taken place recently but not been cleaned up. He pulled over to the side of the road and followed the marks down the embankment, it was a fairly steep drop, maybe twenty feet. His heart stopped. At the bottom was his fathers car at rest on it's roof. He dialed 112 and gave his location reporting the accident before he slid down the hill to find his father.

He slipped and skid on the grass and gravel, coming to rest by the back of the car. Serkan ran around to the side laying down. His father was bent in half, blood streaming from a wound in his head, his body trapped by twisted metal and the seatbelt. The passenger side window had been broken out, Serkan crawled into the space so he could reach his father.

"Baba?" he felt for a pulse at his father's neck, his relief when there was a faint pulse was immense. He had no idea how they were going to get him out of there. He knew that he couldn't do it.

"Baba, I'll be right back, I'm going to get help. I love you, I'll be right back." He ran his hand over his father's head, he couldn't help the tears that were in his eyes.

Serkan scooted his way back out of the car and climbed back up the hill, he heard the emergency sirens in the distance. By the time he made it to the top they were in sight, he flagged them down. He explained to the Fire Chief that it was his father's car, he didn't know what happened but it was down the embankment on its roof. He was unconscious but he had a pulse, he was fifty-two years old and in good health.
