Sooo I'm tring to improve in writing action scenes I hope this part is not too messy!!
SASHA'S POV
Sasha was training with Grime that morning. It was the first time they have taken the sword after they met. Grime introduced her to his cool toad friends the night before and for a few hours Sasha didn't think about Anne and Marcy. She was feeling almost calm.
But now the sun has rised and she's nervous again. So Grime proposed to train.
-Am I holding the sword in the right way?- Sasha asks, looking at her hands closed around the swords. Grime nods.
-Of course Sasha. Just, rise a bit your right arm...yeah, like that. Now, I'm gonna teach you how to defend from a fast serie of attacks...- Sasha nods and Grime starts attacking her. Their training goes on for about an hour till a toad (Sasha doesn't remember her name) comes and whispers something into Grime's ear. He frowns.
-We're coming.- He mumbles at the toad. Sasha notices how worried he looks like and puts down the swords.
-What's the matter, Grime?- She asks, comes closer to him. He's cleaning his sword, then he puts it back in his bag.
-Some of the sentinels heard strange noises from the forest. We should check it out, there's a village in that position. Maybe they have been attacked by Andrias.- Sasha feels the rage growing in her as every time she hears the name Andrias. She nods, determinated.
-Of course! I'm in.- Grime smirks.
-I wasn't doubting it. Keep the swords but don't get hurt, ok, girl?- Sasha nods again and follows Grime to the camp. She's excited, she's about to fight her first battle.
-General! Come, hurry on!- Some toads call out loud Grime, Sasha runs to them to see what's happening. She can hear the screams, now, someone's screaming from the wood.
-There!- Sasha says, pointing inside the wood. Grime frowns.
-Move, soldier!!- The toads are ready to go, they grab their weapons and run together inside the wood, Grime leads them.
Sasha is the last, she tries to not be left behind but the toads run fast. She clenches her jaw, takes the situation as a challenge and goes faster.
The shouts now are louder, the toads have stopped around the ruins of a burned village.
-Sasha! Stay close to my soldier and don't do anything!- Grime shouts to her before running inside the village. The toads roar and follow him.
-Yeah, right. I'm gonna fight, Grime!- Sasha murmurs to herself before unsheathing her swords, she runs behind the toads.
The village is still burning, the sky is covered by a thick veil of smog. Sasha hears another scream, she flinches because she thinks it's a child screaming.
She glances a last time to the two toads that are supposed to take care of her, then she runs away. She turns on a secondary road, trying to not fall because of the ground full of holes.
-HEY KID!!- Sasha screams, trying to be stronger than the sound of the flames. Someone answers her call.
-I'm here...- They talk in a breath but Sasha understands they're inside the house that's in front of her. Full of flames. The girl takes a deep breath and closes her fingers on her swords.
-DO NOT MOVE I'M COMING!- She screams again and kicks the main entrance of the house.
The wood creaks but breaks and the door falls behind, leaving the passage free for Sasha. She runs inside, turns her head around.
The flames are on the roof, burning the stairs. Sasha coughs and bends to not have the smog in her eyes.
-WHERE ARE YOU?- Sasha screams but she has already heard a noise from the second floor. Dang it, she has to use the stairs.
She clenches her jaw and runs upstairs. The flames touches lightly her shoulders, she feels a strong pain where the t-shirt burns and the fire reaches her skin.
-I'm here!! Please come!!- The voice calls Sasha another time, from a little room in the end of the hallway.
Sasha grabs tight her shoulder, the bruise is hurting a lot.
A wood board is obstructing the passage to the hallway. Sasha turns her head behind and sees the flames on the stairs. She can't go back.
-FUCKING DAMNIT, I'M GONNA PASS!- She screams. She finds herself smiling when she rotates the sword in the air and then she lowers it on the wood board.
It breaks in two half, Sasha kicks the pieces aside to pass ahead.
-Don't worry, I'm here...!- Sasha says, she pushes the door with her sane shoulder a few times till it breaks and falls. Sasha sways on her way to enter the room, she's feeling weak.
-Where are you...?-
-I'm here!- The hesitating, scared voice calls again and a figure exits from under the bed.
-Quick, we have to exit from the window!- Sasha doesn't pay them so much attention, she's focused on the fire that's quickly coming closer and closer to them.
-But you...- The figure says. -...you are a human.- Sasha turns to the figure, nervous, why they're still talking if they have to go?
-Look, if we don't move we're gonna...- Sasha's eyes meet the girls' eyes. She's tiny, scared, her face is dirty and her nose is bleeding. A grey pair of human eyes stares into Sasha's eyes.
-You're like me.- The girl says.
-You...you are a human??- Sasha whispers in shock. She has lost all of sudden her voice.
