SASHA'S POV
Sasha wakes up with a strong headache and the feeling of being a useless human with no capacity at all.
Then, she sits on the floor and the self blaming fades away, but sadly the headache is still there.
Miles turns behind to her, he's typing something on his usual keyboard, as soon as he realises Sasha's awake he walks to him.
-Hey, kid. You're alright?- He asks, clumsy. He's not used to use the little bit of empathy he has. Sasha rolls her eyes.
-Of course I am. I am strong.- She says, cocky, to try to hide the pain at the head. Miles furrows his brows.
-Have you seen what I did before? I fucking smashed Andrias' face!- Sasha says with a grin on her face. She stands up and bursts out laughing, the adrenalin is still flowing strong in her veins.
Miles rubs the back of his neck, nervous, he looks everywhere but Sasha.
-Well, about that...thanks, kiddo. I mean...thanks.- He mutters in the end. Sasha looks more carefully at him, then she sighs. The man is slightly smaller than her, so she can wraps his shoulders with an arm. Miles flinches.
-No problem, old man!- Sasha jokes and smirks another time. -Now, let's just deactivate the hive mind!- She says.
-It may seem strange but...it already happened.- Miles says, embarrassed. He frees himself from the hug to type something on the keyboard. A few lights switch on over a huge green screen.
-See?- Miles points at some numbers but Sasha doesn't understand, he just nods and pretends to be as smart as Miles is.
-The Core has been defeated...woah. Your friend must be really strong.- Miles murmurs, caressing his cheeks, rough because of undone beard. Sasha sighs. Anne has done a great work. He just hopes she has been able to rescue Marcy, too...
As she's thinking this the door behind them opens, slams against the wall. Sasha flinches and turns behind, lightens up the Red Power, ready to fight.
-SASHA!!- Both Anne and Marcy, on the doorstep, scream and run inside the laboratory, to reach Sasha. The blonde smiles and feels the tears hitting his eyes.
-GIRLS! YOU'RE ALIVE!- She screams back and goes hugging them both. They fall on the ground, rolling on the floor and laughing. Sasha's gaze is stuck on Anne's pretty face, how her hair gently surrounds her round face, her smile is brighter than the moon outside. Sasha laughs with her.
Marcy seats down and tucks one lock of hair behind an ear. Sasha hugs them tight before they can try to talk. Sasha's scared they were going to apologize when there's nothing to apologize for. Marcy hugs her back, wrapping tight her shoulders. For a second the world stops around them.
Then Miles' voice breaks the magic in the air.
-You remind me so much of some guys I used to know...- The old man says, sharp, he returns gloomy and silent. He turns behind to look outside the window. Sasha, Marcy and Anne exchange a gaze. Then, Anne stands up and walks close to the man.
-Hey there, dude. I'm pretty sure Alpha needs an old, grumpy uncle. What about you return to Wartwood with us?- She proposes, gently. Sasha and Marcy exchange a smile. Anne's really good with such staff. Miles nods, slowly.
-I guess I can have a normal life...kinda.- He comments making Anne laugh. The curly haired girl turns her head behind and raises both her brows.
-You're right dude. All of us want to have a kinda normal life.- Sasha grabs Marcy's hand when Anne talks, and walks to the curly haired girl with a smirk on his face.
-You're so right, Boonchuy!- She says. Her words are cut off in the middle of the phrase by a strong roar. It cames from the city, but it passes through the walls and the floor of the castle. Miles quickly types something on his joystick and a wall slides aside, revealing a balcony. Anne, Marcy and Sasha run outside, on the huge balcony, and look down.
All the city is lighten up by the flames of the battle but the two armies aren't fighting anymore. Screams and happy yells raise from everywhere.
-What...? They stopped fighting? We won!- Anne says and laughs. Marcy chuckles and hugs her. Sasha looks down, to the city, sees the soldiers slowly putting down their weapons, the toads helping the wounded ones and the caravan coming inside the city. She smiles and whistles to call Joe Sparrow.
-Come on girls. Let's go and have fun with our friends!- She says. Joe Sparrow lands on the balcony, almost causing an heart attack to Marcy. They scream, excited, and run to the huge bird.
-HEY THERE HUGE LITTLE BUDDY!!- Marcy screams again and goes petting Joe Sparrow's feathering.
Anne and Sasha laugh together as Marcy stars jumping around the bird like a little bunny. Joe is so happy to see them and jumps with them, the balcony trembles under their feet.
Miles taps all of sudden on Anne's shoulders, making both Anne and Sasha flinch.
-Anne. Before you return down to the city, we have to take a thing.- He says. Anne nods.
-I'm pretty sure there's some kinda bot inside here that can fly us two down, girls.- Anne says, turning her head to Sasha. He nods back.
-Me and Marcy will fly down. Be quick guys.- Sasha says before winking to Anne. She turns and goes to Joe Sparrow and Marcy, meanwhile Anne and Miles run inside.
-Let's go down, Mar Mar!- Sasha says. Marcy looks at her, astonished. They don't believe it.
-YASSS WE'RE GONNA FLYY!!!- They scream. Sasha bursts out laughing but nods.
-HELL YEAH!!!- Marcy shouts and they jump on Joe Sparrow. Sasha hugs their waists and they fly down, directed to the light of the city under them.
to be clearer: marcy already knew Joe Sparrow, they met in Wartwood
