My Soulmate

Chapter 5 - Smile

It was evening and me and Sadat were studying. More specifically, only Sadat was studying while I was drowning in my soulmate thoughts. Sadat is an SSC candidate this year, so he is studying very seriously. He was a brighter student than me. I broke the silence and asked, 

"Is it possible to have many parallel universes?"

Hearing my question he was looking at me with wide eyes ''What?''

His reaction was reasonable as I was never interested in such universe stuff. Only Sadat was interested in sci-fi stuff. Whenever he shared all sci-fi stories my only answer was,

"I'm not interested in the things which aren't proved or invented yet."

I was always focused on romantic novels. So he was quite confused hearing about parallel universes from my mouth. I asked,

"Is there any possibility of having many parallel universes. I mean is it possible that there is one more Sujita and Sadat in another universe?"

''No, it's not Possible.'' he said and again focused on his studies. I understood that if I had shown interest in his likings he would have explained this parallel universe stuff to me anyhow and explain that It's possible to be in another universe.

My assumption is that I am in a parallel universe. I mean after I died in my real world I somehow came into this world. But if it’s true then where is this world's Sujita?I had no explanation for this.

 

I went to sleep but I woke up due to a nightmare. The nightmare was kind of blurred. I was walking on a road. Suddenly a car came running towards me and I don't remember anything after that. I looked out and it was already dawn. I looked out the window and thought, "This nightmare is chasing me in this life as well." 

College published our pre-test exam routine today, my exam is in a month. Rimti was saying,''we must take admission in coaching tomorrow.There is a trial class today as well, will you go?''

"Hmm" Exam is on the 15th of next month, how can I forget that on the 14th of next month was...

''What are you thinking again?''

"Nothing serious. What were you saying?"

''You have to go alone today. I have to go to my grandma's house.''

"Okay. It's not a problem"

''Walk carefully on the road.You are very careless on road."

I smiled and said,"Of course. Don't worry."

Walking home alone is very boring. Normally me and Rimti talk so much that we reach home yet our gossips don’t finish.

While walking I saw Ullash also going. I called him. He smiled at me and said,''You? What's up?''

"Nothing much. what about you?"

''Same here. You are going alone today?''

"Yeah. Rimti has to visit her grandma today."

''Oh, Ethar also didn't come today.''

We started walking while talking. From the crossroad, our houses are in separate ways. So we parted our ways. I was walking alone now and was thinking, 

"Ullash is such a cheerful guy. He behaves so well with everyone. Even his smile..'', I suddenly realised something,

" His smile is somewhat empty. As if.." I stood at my place, "His smile is not real. He is not smiling from his heart?"
