After a long day of recording more songs, the Beatles are taking a break while their manager, Brian Epstein, is reading a book they don't find very interesting.
"Leaders, and had been of late much accustomed to usurpation and conquest. Edwin and Morcar, the earls of Mercia and Northumbria declared for him, and even Stigand... Lads!" Said Brain sternly. "Huh? Oh, we're listening." Said Ringo. "And even Stigand, the archbishop of Canterbury, agreed to meet with William and offer him the crown." Brian continued.
Paul takes a crown he made out of flowers and puts it onto John's head. The young bassist starts laughing as John shakes the flower crown off his head. "William's conduct at first was mo..." Brian began until he saw the flower crown hit the floor. The other Beatles were still laughing. "Lads! Will you kindly pay attention as I read?" Asked Brain in an annoyed tone. "Sorry, Brain. But how can one possibly pay attention to a book with no pictures in it?" Asked Paul.
Brian rolls his eyes. "Paul, you must understand. There are a great many good books in this world without pictures." He said. "In this world perhaps. But in our world, the books would be nothing but pictures." Said George. "Your world? Huh, what nonsense." Brian scoffed. "Nonsense?" Asked John. "Once more, from the beginning." Said Brian as he continued reading.
Ringo takes the other Beatles outside. "That's it, lads! If we had a world of our own, everything would be nonsense." He said. "Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't." John said. "And contrariwise, what it is, it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would." George said. "Exactly! In our world..." Paul began.
The Beatles sing about imagining their own little world.
John: Cats and rabbits
Would reside in fancy little houses
And be dressed in shoes and hats and trousers
In a world of our ownPaul: All the flowers
Would have very extra-special powers
They would sit and talk to us for hours
When we're lonely in a world of our ownGeorge: There'd be new birds
Lots of nice and friendly how-de-do birds
Everyone would have a dozen blue birds
Within that world of our ownRingo: We could listen to a babbling brook
And hear a song that we could understand
We keep wishing it could be that way
Because our world would be a wonderland
